Chapter 81: Their Effort

In a dimly lit room deep within the confines of the Academy, Lucas sat with a group of his closest allies.

The atmosphere was thick with tension and disappointment. Around a wooden table scattered with maps and notes, the group exchanged glances, their expressions grim.

"Ryan's not coming back," Lucas said, his voice tinged with frustration. "We were counting on him."

A woman with sharp eyes and a stern demeanor nodded. "It's a setback, but we need to move forward. We can't wait forever. And we know that the risk is high from the start."

Lucas leaned back in his chair, his fingers drumming lightly on the table. He appeared calm, but a closer look would reveal the underlying agitation.

"Ryan made his choice. We have to respect that and continue with our plans," Lucas said.

Another man, his face partially hidden by the shadows, spoke up. "But can we really trust anyone else to take his place? Ryan's Talent was pretty strong."
