Chapter 46
Kamen Rider Demons and Kamen Rider Neith have emerged. Gwen and Peter gazed at their new appearance and felt powerful, reminiscent of being bitten by the radioactive spider once more. Power surged through their bodies, and various systems were displayed in their HUD.
"This feels amazing… I feel stronger than ever." said Peter
"I like the design too. It is similar to our usual costumes. I heard the announcement said Neith? Is that what I am now?" said Gwen
"Yes, Kamen Rider Neith and Kamen Rider Demons," replied Ace
"Demons? That sounds like a villain… How come Gwen gets a name from a goddess." said Peter, reluctant to use the name Demons. It clashes with his friendly neighborhood name.
They were interrupted by a loud roar. "ROAR"
The smoke has already been dismissed, and the Lizard's patience is running out. He wants to finish them here once and for all.
"It seems he got even more pissed. Let's do this, you two. We are saving everyone today." said Ace
"Yeah, don't worry, Doc. We are going to get you back to normal soon enough." said Peter
"We are not letting you turn this city into a colony." said Gwen
"ROAR"
"CRY"
The two sides charged toward each other. Ace and Peter are having a rematch against the Lizard, while Gwen faces off against Vermin again. Ace stabs the Lizard, and Peter jumps up and webs the Lizard. The Lizard tries to break free from the webs, but he notices that they are more challenging to break free from. This gives Ace an opening, and he starts attacking him.
"ROAR"
"Spider-Man! Use the other Vistamps!"
"Oh, right!"
|Kamen Rider Demons utilizes Vistamps to engage in battle. Each Vistamp contains genetic information about a specific organism. By harnessing the genetic data within a Vistamp, Kamen Rider Demons can generate armaments on his body through a function known as "Genomix".|
Peter presses the sides of his driver and reveals the Batta Vistamp

He then stamps it on the pad and screen and presses the driver again.

Peter's legs started morphing and growing into the shape of a grasshopper.
"Woah, this is amazing!"

Peter leaps towards the Lizard, executing a swift kick. He delivers a series of powerful kicks as he propels himself back into the air. Finally, he lands a decisive blow, causing the Lizard to tumble.
"Hell yeah!" said Peter
Gwen is fighting Vermin. She shoots webs at him, but he dodges them and rushes at Gwen, using his claws to attack her. She blocks his attack with her arm, surprising Vermin with her strength.
"I'm not losing to you ever again!" said Gwen. She kicked Vermin in the stomach and backflipped, kicking his chin and making him recoil. She then reveals the Reizoko Fullbottle (Refrigerator Fullbottle).
|As Kamen Rider Neith, Gwen's abilities increase explosively. She can weave her webs into any shape and control them at will, changing their strength and adhesive properties. Each of her wrists has a special web shooter. With these web shooters, she can add the components of the Fullbottle to her web. This function is called "Special Mix."|
Gwen inserts the Reizoko Fullbottle into her web shooters.

Gwen's webs glistened with ice as she skillfully spun them around Vermin, encasing him in a shimmering cocoon of ice. Despite his struggles, he was unable to break free as his body slowly succumbed to the freezing embrace. Gwen deftly inserted another Fullbottle into her web-shooters.

Her intricate webs ignited fierce flames under her precise control as they surged toward the frozen Vermin. The impact caused a powerful explosion, propelling Vermin through the air until he crashed to the ground, lying unconscious. At that moment, Gwen felt a surge of pride in her victory.
"That's one down."
Peter and Ace continue to battle the Lizard, who is steadily losing ground. The coordinated attacks from Ace and Peter have significantly weakened their opponent. Peter unleashes a powerful new Vistamp in a daring move to deliver a decisive blow.

Peter's right arm transformed into a vibrant green drill, which he mercilessly plunged and twisted into the Lizard's writhing body.

"ROAR!" The Lizard roars in pain and can't believe he is losing to these spiders. He did not notice that Gwen had defeated Vermin and had joined in to fight him. He gets wrapped in webs, and even with his strength, he cannot break them fast enough.
"It is time to finish this! Let's do this, you two!" said Ace.
"YEAH," Peter and Gwen responded.
Ace grabs three cards and scans them with the Leangle Rouzer for the finisher.

Ace's Leangle Rouzer tip is imbued with purple liquid. He rushes toward the Lizard, blowing a freezing blast at him. Then, he stabs the Lizard in the chest, allowing the poison to spread through his body. The Lizard screams in pain as Ace lifts him up and throws him into the air.
"Now!" said Ace
Peter stamps the Spider Vistamp on the screen.

Gwen cranks the lever, and a holographic white spider materializes behind her. They both leap into the air. Peter pushes the buttons on his device, and they both lunge towards the Lizard.
[DEMONS FINISH]
[READY GO, ARACHNE FINISH]
"HAAH~"
Red spider legs appeared on Pete's back, covering him. The spider went to Gwen's legs, creating spiral webs around her legs that burst with energy. They both hit the Lizard, sending him flying toward the Ganali device. The device exploded, stopping the timer and destroying the lizard serum.
"Alright!" Ace, Gwen, and Peter celebrated defeating their opponents, and everything was finally over.

The Lizard lay unconscious and battered on the rooftop. Ace, Peter, and Gwen breathed a sigh of relief. They had finally defeated the Lizard and Vermin.
"Peter, you should give him the gene cleanser now," said Ace
"Right. Can you help me hold his head?"
Ace opened the Lizard's jaw, and Peter poured the gene cleanser down the throat.
"I hope this works…" said Peter, hoping his cure would work.
"Believe in yourself, Peter. I'm sure it will work," Ace reassured Peter, his voice filled with unwavering faith in Peter's abilities. Peter then felt better and watched Dr. Connors for the result.
As time passed, the Lizard's body began to shrink, turning white and causing its skin to disintegrate. Peter felt a surge of panic, fearing that he had inadvertently harmed Dr. Connors. However, to his immense relief, he discovered that beneath the shedding skin lay Connors' unconscious body. Peter quickly checked on his condition, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.
"Is he okay?" asked Gwen worried
"Yeah, he is breathing normally. He doesn't seem to be in danger, but we should let the doctors check him just in case." replied Peter
On the side, Vermin was also unconscious, and the three of them didn't know what to do with him.
"Should we also let him drink the gene cleanser?" said Peter
"We don't know where he came from; for all we know, he might be a mutant, and the gene cleanser will probably do nothing or kill him in the worst case," replied Ace.
"Then what should we do?" asked Gwen
"Our best option is to lock him up. We can get some of his blood to see what happened to him and we can probably make a cure then."
Gwen and Peter agreed. They couldn't think of anything else, so this was the best option.
"Ugh…"
Dr. Connors woke up, which got the three's attention. Peter went up to him to help him recover.
"Dr. Connors, are you okay?"
"What… Spider-Man? Where am I."
"You're on top of Oscorp. Do you remember anything that happened?"
"What do you mean? I was at home taking a shower and then… oh god."
Dr. Connors vividly remembers his time as the Lizard, burdened by overwhelming guilt for the lives he took and the widespread devastation he unleashed. He was hyperventilating and cried on the spot.
"What have I done… All those lives I took. I just wanted to change the lives of people for the better."
"Doc…" said Peter,
Ace, Gwen, and Peter empathized with Connors. Despite being a good man, he transformed into a monstrous version of himself after taking the serum, losing his true identity. If they hadn't intervened, he would have endangered the lives of millions of people.
"Please, take me to the police. I need to turn myself in." said Connors
"But Doc, that wasn't you. The serum made you a monster. What about your wife and son? They are waiting for you at home." said Peter, trying to persuade Connors
"Then what should I do!? All those people I have killed. All the destruction I have caused. How should I forgive myself…"
Connors sobbed, and Peter felt sad seeing his mentor in this state.
"Do you feel remorse?" asked Ace
"Yes, How could I not after all I have done."
"Then remember that feeling and make sure it doesn't happen again. You may have been the Lizard, but that also wasn't you. You are a brilliant scientist, and I believe in second chances. We all make mistakes, so we pick ourselves up and learn from them. I believe you can recover from this, Dr. Connors."
"...Thank you,"
They handed over Vermin to the police, tightly bound with chains, before taking a sample of his blood. George asked what happened to the Lizard, and Ace responded, "He died, and no trace of him was left."
George left it at that. As long as the Lizard was gone, he was satisfied.
Ace, Peter, and Gwen escorted Dr. Connors back to his home. His wife and son greeted them. The family hugged, feeling glad to be together. The heroes looked on, filled with a sense of warmth and contentment. The family thanked the trio of heroes before bidding them farewell, satisfied with the positive outcome.
