Chapter 23: A Fighter

The truck was moving over rocks when I jolted awake, throwing me sideways and a sharp jolt of pain rushed into my side.

I was quick to clasp my hand over my mouth to quickly muffle the scream that tore past my lips. My sides began to throw almost immediately and so did every inch of my back.

How long has this truck been driving? How long did I end of sleeping? Two questions which I didn't have an answer to.

I was scared of even breathing too sharply to prevent my huffing spot from being revealed. I remained frozen in the same spot, in between two stuffy luggages while the truck drove into potholes after potholes.

Where was this truck heading to?
