Her words... it had to be true. Why else would she leave like this, without even saying goodbye? His hands tightened on the steering wheel, his knuckles white as he fought to keep his emotions in check.

But the more he tried to suppress the pain, the more it consumed him. He pulled over to the side of the road, burying his face in his hands as the tears finally broke free.

He brought out the ring box he had gotten fit her and he couldn't help feeling like a fool, like he had been blind to the truth all along.

How could he have been so stupid, so naive to have fallen twice in love with the strongest women? Perhaps he should've listened to his mother. She had tried to tear them apart and he had hated her for it but now, he just felt stupid for ever choosing love over his mother.

He was a shame to childhood, for disregarding his mother. He felt so ashamed so foolish.
