"Draven," Madeline whispered, her eyes almost watery with tears, "You brought us home."

Although the coastal country had been where they grew closer, but Ravencreast, the castle, was where it all started.

It was the place where Madeline had attended his ball, starving and drawn to the food laid out on the table, where he had asked her for a dance. Their very first dance.

"Hmm," Draven nodded. Earlier, he had informed Brimsley that he would be taking his wife away for a while. He instructed not to expect his return for dinner. Hopefully, Brimsley had informed her maid.

"I wanted to steal you away for a while," he grinned.

Madeline smiled, "My dear husband, I am already yours."

"I know," he planted a kiss on her head, then took her hand, "Shall we?" She nodded, waiting in anticipation.
