Chapter 102: Let's go home

"Draven," Madeline gasped, shifting back frantically. Her hands trembled as she clasped them together. "Draven," she yelled, this time with more urgency, "Stop."

This caused the vampire king to halt in his step, watching her with a frown. His gaze was still fixed on her blood, but there was a shift in his eyes, as if he was battling with something.

"Do not do this, Draven," Madeline cried, shaking her head. "Please."

His gaze suddenly shifted towards her. When their eyes locked, pain shot through him, and he staggered back. One hand ruffled through his hair, and he let out an angry cry.

Alba, however, did not stop. Her gaze was still fixed on Madeline's wound as she rushed towards her.

Her eyes, matching the red of her hair, blazed with fury like a hot hearth, ready to pounce on Madeline.
