"I want to know," Sebastian said as he walked towards her.

Elizabeth stood perplexed, watching him. Her mouth parted lightly as he continued his approach; in that moment, he seemed like an angel drawing near to her. "My Lord," she gasped, taking a few steps back, but he persisted in coming closer.

"Tell me," his voice was soft, yet its calmness had a captivating effect.

Elizabeth looked away, unable to meet his gaze, fearing she might appear too vulnerable in his presence. She sighed, fumbling with a yellow light dress amongst the rows of designed cloths; it had white lace straps on the neckline, one of the many dresses she had made, though she wouldn't acknowledge it—not even to Sebastian.

If her mother wished to play matchmaker and set one of her sisters up with him, she would allow it. "I learn," Elizabeth finally spoke, still avoiding his eyes.
