Chapter 90: The Kiss

"Where had he gone to?", Madeline had asked the previous night for her husband, but as usual Brimsley did not give her an answer but reassured her that Draven would return.

After what had happened the night before, she had been so scared that something must have happened to him. The only thing she remembered was hugging him tightly while that monster was about to attack them. Whatever must have happened later on was blurred to her, and the strangest thing was, she felt herself in another mist, but the memories seemed to be blocked by a barrier.

"Your hair...," Brimsley had pointed at her when she had woken up. He looked frantic, his eyes darted from her face to her hair, but afterwards, he said nothing of it. Madeline didn't bother why. What had troubled her was waking up from that slumber to be greeted by Brimsley instead of her husband.
