Chapter 242: What are you wearing?

Kellen was able to calm down and finish his work in record time. Part of it was he was waiting for Rhys and wanted to have as much time available to them as possible, and the other part was that he was just focused on getting these contracts out. 

Especially after the stairs. Taylor needed access to her whole powers. Pronto. 

He couldn't do that shit in front of others. Not unless he wanted to end up in actual chains. The Captain could only be pushed so far. Hell, even his Mom would have chained him up after seeing that display of pain. 

So, with his newfound free time, Kellen grabbed the tablet he had been reading the romance novels that Hill had suggested to him, and did some relaxing reading while he waited. It wasn't the first time he'd done this. He'd had some free time when everyone else had been busy for the time he hadn't seen the Captain, and it took his mind off of things.
