Chapter 6: Problems P3

[If you get any ideias to this fic, will be a honor to hear(or read, hahah)!]

Past

Denji woke up to yet another day, his back almost completely destroyed from sleeping on the floor and being used as a piggyback by an annoying and irritating little girl.

He tried to get up, but could barely manage. Still, he stood up. Not caring about his pain in the slightest. He had a promise to fulfill, and he always kept his promises.

He quickly took in a breath, feeling the pain gradually easing. In a few minutes, he was completely healed.

(Wind regeneration is a divine blessing, seriously.) - He thought to himself, with a satisfied smile.

He then began his morning stretching session. A habit from his previous life, one he had no intention of giving up.

He watched Kobeni leave her room, curiously, without her sister this time, which startled him a bit.

(What is the brat planning today?) - He thought to himself, a little scared.

"How are you feeling?" - The older woman asked as she poured a cup of coffee.

"I'm okay for now... just hoping it stays that way." - He said as he stretched his back.

As if God was playing with his poor soul, the door to the sisters' room quickly opened.

Out came Shizune, dressed differently today. She wore the outfit worn by Han Solo in the Classic Star Wars Trilogy. She pointed at Denji with a toy gun and shot him.

The bullet hit his liver, causing a slight pain.

"Ow! What are you doing?!" - He asked, irritated.

"Shizune!! Why did you do that?!" - Kobeni asked, equally annoyed.

The answer surprised them.

"Millennium Falcon!!" - Before they could react to this response, Shizu dashed like lightning and started hitting Denji with the toy gun.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Why?!" - Denji asked, desperate.

"Millennium Falcon doesn't talk!" - She then climbed on Denji's back. "Go, Millennium Falcon, fly!"

(This is getting more and more depressing, this kid is the devil incarnate!) - Denji thought with small anime-style tears.

And once again, humiliated and made fun of, Denji obeyed what Shizune asked and began walking towards the school, being watched by a pitying look from the elder sister.

(I hope he'll be okay...) - Kobeni thought, then sighed heavily.

Present

The last thing he remembers seeing was a kick coming straight towards his face. It was too fast, and it caught him off guard.

He couldn't dodge, and ended up unconscious. When he woke up, he realized he was in a hospital room, with his face bandaged and his nose hurting a lot.

(How did that happen...) - He questioned amidst the pain, with his hands supporting his head.

Gradually, he began to remember what had happened, and then clicked his tongue in discontent.

(How did he know?! I was camouflaged as a citizen!) - He thought to himself angrily, having missed an opportunity.

An opportunity to boost the morale of his experimental squad and show the superiors that they might be wrong. Not that he cared, as far as he was concerned all the devils could die, but... it could get Makima's attention.

Just imagining that he had missed a chance for a reward... made him more furious. Now he couldn't ask her out as he always wanted.

The next time he saw this clandestine hunter, he would break all his bones for ruining the perfect moment he had always wanted!

{Kid, such thoughts only show once again that you are what humans call... Simp} - The voice of the fox demon sounded in his head again.

"I'm not a simp!" - Hayakawa replied angrily.

{Say what you want. The point is... don't do anything rash.} - The fox replied, which surprised Aki.

"Why do you care about me?" - The Japanese asked, intrigued.

{That human.... He was different. Fast, strong, agile. Even though he clearly had no combat training, I could tell he compensated for that with a strange power.} - The deep voice of the fox said solemnly - {I have no idea which demon he has a contract with... but be careful.} - He was truly solemn - {And besides... You are handsome.}

This left Aki a little surprised, obviously ignoring the last part. He could barely keep up with that man's speed, but his demon had somehow done it.

He clenched his fists. He couldn't understand, what was he doing wrong? Why was he still so weak? Was there no hope for the human race to defeat these monsters?

He sighed, momentarily destabilized by such thoughts. His revenge against the gun seems farther away every day.

His head was low, almost like surrendering to the whole situation. He simply had no hope anymore...

But as if to interrupt the sad moment, a redhead accompanied by two infernals walks through the door of the room. Looking up, Aki realizes Makima with her usual dead smile, with a hint of apparent irritation on her forehead.

Power and Haruki were already full of bandages and swollen faces, but Aki could see that they still had many visible wounds. This confused him, why was Makima here and why hadn't they been given blood yet?

"Well, well, well... It seems like the hunter is more troublesome than expected, isn't it?" - the redhead started the conversation.

"Yes... I could hardly even see what hit me."

"That's interesting, if you manage to capture him, it will be even better for your ratings. Did you see anything important about him?"

"Well, he was wearing a burqa, so I don't know his face. But something relevant is that he seemed to be able to control some kind of tornado or even the wind itself, and he was very fast, but his fighting style is amateurish." - Aki puts a hand on his chin and looks away to the left, reminiscing.

With this information, Makima gives a small threatening look to the two behind her, apparently none of them had mentioned this, but quickly turns her attention back to Aki.

"Thank you for this, I'll add it to the file we have on the clandestine hunter. I have to go now, get well soon, Hayakawa." - She leaves the room, the door closing behind her, but then quickly opens again - "Oh, I forgot, don't let them take blood until tomorrow."

The door closes, with the image of a dove flying down the hallway. The trio stares at each other, all looking confused and not knowing how to start a conversation.

Luckily, or unluckily, they are interrupted by a doctor opening the door.

"Son, I just came to offer my condolences for your nose, it will never go back to normal." - The doctor closes the door, but opens it again. - "Actually, if you have money you can get a rhinoplasty, but..." - He looks Aki up and down. - "Forget it, I don't think you'll manage."

The door closes and Aki has a pained expression on his face.

"HAHAHAHAHAH! You were called poor, AND ugly to your face!" - Power is the first to speak, she couldn't miss the chance.

(My nose... my little and beautiful nose. The nose that Miss Makima praised so much, the nose that I took care of so much... SCOUNDREL!) - Hayakawa thought to himself with anger and sadness.

In the distance, Denji sneezes and thinks he's allergic to something... Possibly, Shizune.

Speaking of her, he's currently having ice cream with the little devil to reward her for a high score in school, not that he wanted to...

"This is more like purgatory than a reward, what kind of reward is spending time with a closet pervert who's also a demon?!" - Shizune questions, annoyed.

"Then just pretend I'm not here! But what an annoying brat you are..." - Needless to say, Denji's face was as grumpy as possible.

"Aaaaaah! My God! There's a raisin talking to me!" - Shizune says, pausing from eating ice cream for a short time and then quickly returning to devour it.

"Wow, how funny... I will laugh next year! And you know what?! Next time we'll celebrate in the trash can next to our house, the food goes well with you!''

Shizune just stays quiet without responding, she couldn't miss the chance to always get money from the blond.

Aside from the misadventures of our dear protagonist, you might be thinking something like: "Shouldn't he be getting stronger or doing something interesting?". And the simplest answer is: He is. Or rather, another him is.

Currently, there are five Denjis, the maximum number of clones the blond managed to create, scattered throughout the city. All doing different things, three are patrolling, one is reading some fiction works and another reading an encyclopedia.

You might think it's unfair for the original to enjoy life while the clones are working hard, but the truth is he doesn't care one bit about that, the less work for him the better. It's just a pity that at the end of the day he experiences everything the clones did and it feels like he worked for five.

But, you might wonder: "How did he get Kage Bunshin if he doesn't have Chakra?". It's simple, he doesn't need it. But, not for what you think, he doesn't need it because when he unlocked Airjitzu, he started using Ninjago's internal energy. Thanks to this, Kage Bunshin was made based on it.

(Well, I'm going to take advantage of the time with this annoying kid and I'm going to think about what I should do... It's been a month since I've been here, I've managed to get enough money to have a reserve and support the two at least a little.)

(Honestly... I feel confident. So far nothing could stand in my way, and that's definitely a good sign.) - He thought to himself, with a small smile of pride on his face.

(The problem now is... My main mission. How am I going to make humanity as a whole stronger? Am I going to have to create an ability to give a copy of my abilities to others?) - He thinks of a way to quickly accomplish at least part of the goal.

(Nah, that would be a bit boring. But I think I have to find some people and give them a mini system, which only shows the current and maximum statistics that their body can reach. This would allow the person to know when to stop training muscles and move on to reflexes or something similar...)

Denji was lost in thought and distracted, until he was called by Shizune, who brought him back to the real world.

He just gets up and goes to pay the ice cream parlor bill, before leaving he looks at the table to see if it's messy or not, and notices that one of the table legs has turned into a piece of red LEGO, which confuses him.

Ignoring this, he simply starts walking along with the brat towards home.

In the distance, someone on top of a building was watching the streets, seeming to search for something a little absentmindedly.

(Let's see if this annoyance can deal with this one...) - Then, a chain is "thrown" towards the sky and seems to latch onto something or someone.

"Come to me."
