Red Shenron grants the Wish
"Emperor Pilaf," Mai reports, "we now have all 7 dragon balls. What next?"
"Heh, heh, ha ha ha..." Pilaf laughs, "At last, we have all the dragon balls! Finally, I can get my wish. Let's get back down, before Kami can notice us! Come on gang!"
"Yes emperor!" Mai and Shu salute.
They all get into their helicopter and descend to their base, which is a few miles north of Kami's lookout.
"We haven't gone back to the base in years," Shu says.
"Indeed, and I cannot wait to see the shock on his face when he realises I actually acquired all seven of the first ever Dragon Balls!" Pilaf laughs.
"These are the first Dragon Balls Kami ever made, emperor?" Mai asks.
"Oh yeah, emperor, I've heard you say that before, but what's that mean?" Shu asks.
"Kami is just the name of whoever guards over the earth, and a long time ago, after he was finally chosen to be earth's guardian, he created the dragon balls as a blessing to the earthlings," Emperor Pilaf explains, "but these dragon balls were just an experiment. He wasn't sure if he could really make wish-granting orbs. His first wish scattered the balls all over the galaxy, except for one which he managed to catch. That's the one we just collected from the lookout."
"Oh, I see," Shu says, "he needed that one to make further improvements on later tests?"
Yeah! That's a good question Shu. Mai thinks to herself. Wait... the stupid mutt can actually think?!
"Wow, Shu... you're using your head for once?" Emperor Pilaf teases him, "but that's what it seemed like. That's why these Black Star Dragon Balls don't have a downtime. They're the ultimate dragon balls, except that they're scattered solar systems apart!"
"Emperor, you know a lot about the history of these dragon balls, huh?" Mai applauds him.
"Well, it's all thanks to the info he gave me," Pilaf replies.
As the Pilaf gang flies off to their base, Goku is still seeking Master Korin's guidance concerning his troubles being a good grandfather to Pan.
"Listen kid, you really can't be exactly like your Grandpa Gohan," Korin educates him, "you can be the grandpa that's always there for your kid's little girl. Just be you, and you'll see that's enough for her."
"Thanks, master Korin."
"Yep, now I have to check on those 3."
"Huh?" Goku's perplexed, "what do you mean by that?"
"Ah, not long before you came here, a suspicious-looking trio were sneaking around on kami's lookout."
"Wow, no way!" Goku's surprised, "Master, you can actually see above you, even all the way up on the lookout?"
"Yep, I've also been improving just like you have, kid."
"That's awesome," Goku smiles, "... huh??! wait, there were people on the lookout? how'd they get up there? what were they doing?"
"Seems like they were searching for something, and it looked like those Dragon Balls."
"Wha- That can't be right," Goku explains, "the old-timer and king kai ceased the dragon balls. They haven't been used in decades."
"Yeah," Korin agrees but can't shake the feeling that something's not quite right.
"I'll go to the lookout and tell Kami what you saw," Goku suggests, "just to be sure that nothing too important was stolen from the lookout."
"Yep, see you later kid," Korin waves goodbye to Goku.
There's no way the dragon balls are on earth, right? Supreme Kai, King Kai and Old Kai ceased them so they wouldn't be used to disrupt nature. But, Master Korin's never wrong. This is really fishy, huh?
Goku lands on the lookout and calls out to Dende and Mr Popo.
"Mr Popo. Den- I mean, Kami!"
"What is it, Goku? Do you know how late it is?" Mr Popo asks, walking out of the lookout.
"Oh, sorry about that."
"What is it?"
"Has anything been taken from the lookout, Mr Popo?"
"I don't know what you mean."
"No one entered the lookout?" Goku asks, "Hmm? But Master Korin said there were some suspicious folks sneaking around."
"Sneaking?" Mr Popo realises that they didn't sense anyone or hear them because it was raining heavily.
"I'll go check for anything missing," Mr Popo enters the lookout again.
As he does, the atmosphere turns darker and a radiant light that seems to be winding about itself fades into view from the lookout, although quite a distance away.
"There's no way," Goku's shocked, it's another shenron!
As Goku stares at the emerging Shenron, Red Shenron brightens the Pilaf gang's base.
"That is just beautiful, right Emperor?" Mai asks.
"Yes, and soon I'll be the Emperor of this world," Pilaf replies.
That's not what I was asking.
Wow, he's huge. Shu thinks.
"If he's bigger and red, then what does that mean?" Mai asks.
"You don't think," Shu gulps, "he's gonna hurt us... or... eat... us?"
"It's possible," Mai says, "I mean, legend has it he's ancient, and his teeth and jaws look menacing."
"Eek," Shu runs behind a tree.
"That's him alright. Goodjob, Pilaf. You have really impressed me. No one else could have found the spectacular Dragon Balls to summon the Red Eternal Dragon," a voice praises Pilaf from a glowing eliptical rock held by Mai.
"What did I tell you Garlic? I'm the one who will rule Planet Earth as the greatest," Pilaf says.
"Indeed, although..."
"Huh?" Emperor Pilaf's surprised.
"Speak your wish, now!" the red Shenron instructs.
"Eek!!" Shu shudders (he's gonna eat me), before fainting.
"Wow, he's loud," Pilaf says, "ok, here goes."
"Ha ha ha..." Garlic junior laughs mischievously, "My wish, eternal Shenron, is for the strongest mortal to be turned into a child!" Garlic Junior says, laughing.
"Hey! Garlic!" Pilaf yells.
His eyes glow, "It is done!" Red Shenron says, after which he ceremoniously disappears, and the Black Star Dragon Balls fly up before disappearing out of sight.
"No, the dragon balls! My wish! Garlic, what did you do?"
"You saw and heard, did you not?"
"Ha ha ha, Pilaf. You gullibility is impressive! Now, don't forget to try again. Ha ha ha, good night, Pilaf," Garlic Junior says before the rock through which his voice spoke to the gang stops glowing.
"Nooo!" Pilaf cries, falling to the ground he curses Garlic Junior, "you tricked me Garlic! You stole my wish, after I'd worked so hard to collect all the 7 dragon balls! curse you, Garlic."
He keeps banging the ground, cursing and crying.
Meanwhile, back on the lookout, Goku has been transformed into a little boy inside his now larger adult clothes.
Mr Popo returns outside, only to see Goku's clothes on the ground as the naked little boy crawls out of his shirt.
"Whoa, what the heck was that?" little Goku says, "It felt like heat was coursing through my body..."
The little Goku and shocked Mr Popo lock eyes.
"Hey... Mr Popo?"
Mr Popo cannot believe what he's seeing.
