Title - Against a Celestial 2
...
Odin's glare was fierce, but his eyes revealed a flicker of doubt.
Leucadius' words stung, but the wisdom in them was undeniable. The Prime Celestial, Arishem, loomed like an impending apocalypse and Odin knew that pride had no place in a battle for survival.
"Very well," Odin finally relented, his voice tinged with reluctant respect. "But if you fail, know that we will not get another chance."
Leucadius nodded. "I won't fail. Let's ensure that 0.9% becomes our victory."
The Throne of Leucadius gleamed with cosmic energy as it interfaced with the Destroyer Armor.
The combination was unprecedented, a melding of two divine craftsmanship. The colossal armor shimmered, its power surging to new heights.
Arishem's eyes gleamed, sensing the shift in power dynamics.
His colossal form exuded an aura of calm disdain, a being confident in its supremacy. The Celestial's voice echoed through the void, a rumble that shook the very fabric of reality.
This time, there wasn't a need for Leucadius to conjure a new reality as Arishem did it himself.
During the previous alteration, he'd just allowed Leucadius to do as he pleased since he deemed their attacks to be inconsequential.
Should any form of harm befall the Solar system, he'd just have it repaired. This time however, he was going to consciously and actively participate in the battle.
"You prolong the inevitable," Arishem intoned, his tone devoid of emotion. "Your resistance is futile."
Leucadius, now fully integrated with the Destroyer Armor, felt the surge of immense power coursing through him. "We'll see about that."
It was akin to having the entire energy of Heaven being stuffed into him.
With a thunderous roar, the colossal Destroyer Armor, now over two thousand feet tall, lunged at Arishem. The area in space it stood previously, cracked and folded under the immense weight and power.
The punch, delivered with the force of a thousand tons, crashed into Arishem's form.
The impact was cataclysmic. The collision sent shockwaves rippling through space, creating seismic disturbances on a planetary scale.
The force was comparable to a small nuclear explosion, with the potential to cause massive craters and geological upheaval.
Arishem shook, his form shimmering as the energy of the blow reverberated through him.
It was a testament to the Celestial's resilience that he remained standing, not even a step was taken back, his eyes now glowing with a newfound intensity.
Odin, Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma and Zeus watched as their divine energies being continuously siphoned into the armor. The battle was far from over, but the strike had proven one thing: Arishem could be hurt.
"Not bad," Shiva remarked, his eyes fixed on the Celestial. "But we need more than just raw power."
Within the Colossal armor, the Gods all stood with their hands firmly placed on an orb that sucked in their Divine energies while Leucadius sat on his Throne on an elevated platform.
The scene was akin to that of the combined form of the Power Rangers with him being the main Brain.
"Agreed," Leucadius said, his voice amplified through the Destroyer Armor.
Zeus, summoning the full might of his cosmic lightning, poured it into the Orb which Leucadius directed right at Arishem's center, seeking to penetrate the Celestial's defenses.
In the same manner Odin, poured in the energy of the Odin Force which Leucadius gathered and launched in the form of a concentrated beam of energy.
Arishem's eyes blazed with fury. He raised his arms, and a barrier of pure energy enveloped him, absorbing the onslaught.
The void crackled with the intensity of the clash, reality itself straining under the pressure.
Leucadius, sensing a chance, channeled the power of the Infinity Stones through the Destroyer Armor. The rings of light around him blazed with unprecedented intensity as with a final surge of power, the Destroyer Armor unleashed a concentrated beam of energy, aimed directly at Arishem's chest.
The beam, infused with the combined might of the six fundamental forces, tore through space, a blinding spear of cosmic power.
The impact was devastating. Arishem's barrier shattered under the force, and the beam struck true, sending shockwaves rippling through his form.
The Celestial staggered, his colossal presence wavering under the onslaught.
"Impressive…to have this quality of energy despite being a mere Eternal." Arishem spoke. His voice still as unperturbed as earlier only this time, he seemed really interested. But then, "You are persistent," Arishem intoned, his voice a mixture of respect and disdain. "But your efforts are in vain."
Arishem's form shimmered with a dark, celestial light, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity. The space around him trembled as he gathered his energy, his power surging like a tidal wave ready to break.
The gods, their divine energies now interwoven into the Destroyer Armor, braced themselves for what was coming next.
Leucadius, feeling the immense surge of power within the Destroyer Armor, tightened his grip on the Throne. "We need to push further!" he commanded, his voice echoing through the celestial battlefield. "Everyone, channel everything you have into the Armor!"
Zeus, with his eyes crackling cosmic energy, sent wave after wave of lightning into the Orb. Odin, his grip on Gungnir tightening, poured the full might of the Odinforce into the mix. Shiva's Tandava created ripples of destructive energy. Vishnu and Brahma, their divine essence flowing seamlessly into the Armor, added their respective energies, their presence amplifying the destructive force.
The Destroyer Armor, now a fusion of the gods' raw power, glowed with an incandescent brilliance.
The rings of light around Leucadius blazed with the full spectrum of cosmic forces—Space, Time, Reality, Power, Mind, and Soul—all converging into a single, potent beam.
Leucadius, his eyes filled with battle spirit, channeled the combined energies into a singular, devastating strike.
"Now!" Leucadius shouted, his voice resonating with the power of the gods.
The Orb of energy, pulsating with the combined essence of all present, was unleashed in a brilliant, blinding beam of light. The concentrated force tore through space, a blazing spear of cosmic energy aimed directly at Arishem's core.
Arishem, his six eyes gleamed with an almost imperceptible hint of surprise, raised his arms, his own energy flaring up to form a shield of pure, blinding light.
The beam collided with the shield leading to a cataclysmic explosion erupting at the point of impact. The shockwaves sent ripples through the fabric of space, the very air around them shimmering with the intensity of the collision.
If this battle was taking place within the Known Reality, it was unknown how many planets and solar systems would have been destroyed from just the aftershocks.
For a moment, the battlefield was engulfed in an otherworldly silence.
The light from the explosion bathed everything in an eerie glow. The gods, their faces strained with effort, held their ground, their energies still feeding into the Armor, sustaining its power.
Arishem's shield flickered, its light wavering under the relentless assault. The Celestial's form, once impenetrable, now seemed to waver, his eyes filled with a mixture of defiance and astonishment.
The barrier began to crack, the energy from the gods' combined attack piercing through the layers of his defenses.
"Is this all you have, Celestial?" Leucadius taunted, his voice echoing with the collective might of the gods. "We are just getting started!" he said and activated his Absolute Intelligence.
And that was when he felt it.
[Futility.]
'Hmm.' Leucadius hummed to himself. It seems even his Unique Skill couldn't find a way around his current predicament.
Still, Leucadius didn't back down. He channeled the full force of the Magical Fundamental forces through the Destroyer Armor once more.
The rings around him blazed with blinding light, the energy coalescing into a singular point of destruction.
The beam, now a dazzling torrent of cosmic fury, surged forward, piercing through Arishem's shield with a burst of raw energy.
This was an attack comparable to the big-bang itself. It was True Chaotic Energy.
Arishem roared, the sound of a thunderous explosion that shook the very foundations of existence. His form, once towering and unyielding, now looked a bit crumbled.
"I guess that's all we can do." Leucadius said melancholically.
This was truly a futile effort. Not that he didn't know, but who wouldn't want to try out their chance at fighting a universal level being, knowing full well that they wouldn't die?
Leucadius didn't know about the other, but he surely wouldn't pass up that opportunity.
From this encounter, he'd learned something interesting. Since this battle began, Arishem had not actually used an ounce of his Energy.
From the moment He absorbed Odin's, Zeus' and the Triumvirate's first energy attack, he'd only been recycling them while countering. Even the Shield that proved to be a hassle to break through was a result of their energy.
Leucadius knew this due to Absolute Intelligence but didn't bother sharing it with the others. They'd just despair if they knew.
Such was the Might of a Celestial.
Arishem's patience finally reached its limit. His form, now crackling with dark celestial energy, raised his colossal hand, unleashing a series of devastating attacks across space.
Blazing beams of energy tore through dimensions, striking at the very heart of the Gods' realms.
The very fabric of the universe quivered under his wrath, as if the cosmos itself were recoiling from the might of the Prime Celestial.
Odin's Asgard, Shiva's Kailash, Vishnu's Vaikuntha, Brahma's Brahmaloka, Zeus' Olympus, Leucadius' Heaven—all were rocked by Arishem's wrath.
The celestial onslaught brought widespread destruction, causing the gods to reel back in shock and horror.
Each divine realm, once a bastion of serenity, was now a battlefield of chaos and ruin.
The palaces of Asgard were razed.
Kailash's peaks shattered.
Vaikuntha's gardens incinerated.
Heaven's Paradise was torn apart
Brahmaloka's sacred halls crumbled.
Olympus's skies blackened with the tempestuous fury of Arishem's onslaught.
To make matters worse, Arishem made it so the Gods could all watch.
Unlike the other Gods though, Leucadius wasn't panicked. He had Yeshua and Aspect in Heaven.
No harm would come to the Inhabitants of Heaven with them there.
"Enough!" Odin bellowed, his voice filled with desperation and rage, his one eye blazing with the fire of the All-Father's resolve. "Stop this madness!" He raised Gungnir, but even its tip trembled against the overwhelming aura of the Celestial
Shiva, his form now battered and scarred, stepped forward, his voice a thunderous echo across the heavens. "Celestial, cease your attacks. We will agree to your terms."
Arishem paused, his gaze piercing through the fabric of reality to lock onto the gods. His eyes, stars of cold, calculating malevolence, bore down on them. "You dare challenge a Celestial, and now you beg for mercy?" His voice was a cacophony of the cosmos, a sound that resonated with the very essence of destruction.
Leucadius, still within the Destroyer Armor, raised his voice, his tone calm but commanding. "We will abide by your conditions, Celestial. You have our word."
Arishem's eyes blazed with cold satisfaction at Leucadius' remark, the dark energy around him swirling hypnotically. "Then hear this: For one thousand years, the gods shall not interfere with Earth. Any breach of this pact will be met with annihilation. You will have peace, but know that I will be watching."
The gods, their faces marked by defeat and resignation, nodded in agreement, their resolve tempered by the gravity of their vow.
Arishem's form began to fade, his presence retreating from their realms, the cosmic darkness retreating like a tide receding from the shore.
"Remember your oath," he intoned, his voice echoing through the void, a chilling reminder of the price of their defiance. "For I will be watching, and I will not hesitate to end your existence if you break this pact."
As the celestial storm subsided, the weight of their agreement heavy upon them.
This was basically asking them to let go of their very important playground.
The skies over Asgard cleared, revealing a scene as though the remnants of a battle that had shaken the very pillars of the universe had just taken place.
Shiva's Kailash, once a sanctuary of peace, lay in ruins. Vishnu's Vaikuntha, the abode of eternal bliss, was marred by the scars of conflict, its once serene waters now churning with the remnants of Arishem's wrath.
Brahma's Brahmaloka, the realm of creation, stood desolate, its sacred grounds desecrated by the destruction the Celestial wrought.
Zeus' Olympus, the peak of divine power, was shrouded in a somber silence, the heavens above it now a canvas of dark clouds and flickering stars as the Divine palace lay in waste.
Paradise was in a similar situation, but unlike the other Gods, Leucadius remained calm. Stepping down from the Destroyer Armor, he turned to the gathered deities, his eyes filled with a newfound resolve. "We have been given a reprieve. Let us use this time wisely. The next thousand years are ours to prepare, to strengthen our realms, and to ensure that we are ready for whatever may come."
Odin, his gaze somber, replied, "Indeed. We must prepare for the future, for this battle is far from over. We have bought ourselves some time, but the cost has been great. We must ensure that we are ready for the next time Arishem decides to test us."
"I'll advise you not to be delusional. We didn't buy anything." Leucadius said as a portal opened up and swallowed him in. "Send me a text of GodsChat if your Time Gods aren't able to reverse the damages. I have work to do."
