Title -
…
Leucadius POV
A couple years had passed since my last visit to Earth, and although time had passed, I remained unaffected by it. It was not something foreign - Being Eternal, in fact, it was thrilling.
The Reason being Abraham.
I had a pretty fun time teasing the man throughout the years. Although his First son event was out of my control, his second one, the one I promised him was.
Ishmael was the son he had with his wife's slave. I didn't put the idea in Sarah's head so it wasn't my problem, however, starting from when the boy, Isaac, turned twelve, I made sure to troll the man who dared bargain with me.
The look on his face when I told him to sacrifice his son was priceless. The man proved to be boring though. Simply because he felt that the child was mine to begin with, he didn't have any qualms returning him back to me.
What a boring man.
I had to ask Gabriel to quickly pick up a ram and leave it in a bush nearby and gloss over it as him being faithful.
Anyways, the man lived a good life. He'd made sure to keep to our covenant by circumcising every male child born in his household, that means, including servants.
Now, Isaac was already over forty and was looking for a wife. It was surprising how the concept of incest was considered lawful in these days and age.
Not to mention Sarah who was Abraham's half-sister, Abraham had asked his servant to go all the way to Haran and ask for his brother's daughter's hand in marriage for Isaac.
It was weird in a way, but not at the same time.
Some Godly beings did partake in such practices so…
And so Isaac and Rebecca were married and gave birth to twins. Esau and Jacob(Esav and Ya'akov in Hebrew).
The dynamic between the two was just so amusing to look at. They were like a pair of cat and dog. If I was to compare them, I would compare them to my siblings from another life. Indra and Ashura.
Of course the dynamic would be reversed with Indra being Jacob with his reserved personality filled with wisdom…or cunningness, while Esau was Ashura with his rash amd thoughtless actions.
In this case however, while Isaac loved Esau better, I was on the same boat as Rebecca and loved Jacob better.
Yup. God is playing favourite. Who's gonna sue me? Nobody! That's who.
So it came to pass that Jacob using his…intelligence, managed to scam Esau of jis birthright. Now, I understand the fact that words of mouth holds no form of power in an agreement in this time and age, but as my chosen people, one has to bear responsibility for their words.
It most definitely isn't because I loved Jacob more. Definitely not, I tell you.
And so it happened that Esau's blessings and fortune as the elder of the two was transferred over to Jacob just for a plate of porridge.
"Humans are the most…unique creatures in the Universe." Aspect who was also in the same office as me commented as we watched the scene unfold.
"True. They're unique in more ways than one…" was all I could say in response. "That reminds me, why did you go and give out a random prophecy before their birth?"
Aspect had gone and answered to the prayers of Isaac in the place of Rebecca when she was having trouble delivering the boys.
One thing of note is that, whenever something bad happens, these guys always turn to me as though I was God…Oh shit! I am God. But that doesn't make it any less annoying.
When it comes to getting pregnant, a lot of factors come into play in a woman's body that either makes her more fertile or less fertile. One such thing is…Stress.
Stress could even make women not see their period for extent periods time, and that could lead to miscarriage…In most cases.
Anyways, that was the case with Rebecca when she prayed to me for the fruit of the womb. Being who I was and not wanting to break my promise work Abraham, I made her fertile similar to how I did Sarah.
But the woman didn't seem to learn anything…not that she could though, and continued with her stress filled way of life.
Now, she was a Madame in the very sense of the word. Married into a filthy rich household with hundreds of servants at her beck and call, yet, she thought it was only normal to also work every once in a while.
Who was I to stop a hardworking, smart and resourceful woman? She was basically the role model to a lot of women that will come around in the twenty first century.
Anyways, the accumulated stress finally got to her when she was due to give birth. The two babies decided to have a field day inside her womb when they felt she wasn't ready to let them expand their horizons, and so she prayed.
Eehhh. It wasn't prayer per se, but a query. How could she ask me, and I quote. "Why is this happening to me?"
I was in Truth, flabbergasted at the gall of this woman. I was so out of it that Aspect had to answer in my stead, and the perfect copy of me gave a reply that was more of a declaration..? Prophecy? I dunno which to call it. But he said. ''Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger."
"It wasn't random. That is what will be." Aspect replied while looking me straight in the eye. Now I was sure as fuck that this motherfucker didn't have any idea of the future events of this world.
And even if he did, it surely wasn't from me, but the look in his eye said that I should know what he was talking about, and I wasn't about to prove him wrong.
"I see." Was all I said and watched as the events of the Bible played out with Rebecca and Jacob cheating Isaac and Esau out of his blessing.
Now Isaac was a gift of God. Yup, my gift, so in Essence, he held a piece of mt Energy in him. Although tiny, if was enough to ensure that he didn't have any problems with beings that sought to do him harm.
So when he blessed Jacob, he tapped into Heaven's well of energy through his own, and transferred it all to Jacob.
"Damn."
"Indeed…Damn."
"Oh my God. That's the first time I'm hearing a swear word from you."
"It isn't a swear word per se. It's merely a word used against people of ill behaviour when they're being delivered their judgement." Aspect retorted calmly. "An example would be; I damn you to a life of poverty."
"I'm pretty sure it's; I curse you to a life of poverty."
"Another example is; You'll live in eternal damnation." Aspect came up with another example as soon as I corrected him.
"...You know what..? You're right."
What point is there in arguing with myself? None. That's it.
And so, we watched as Jacob fled his father's land while exuding a proportional amount of Holy Energy for a human. The sight kind of reminds me of those Confucian Aura in those Chinese manga I used to read in the past…. Hmm. Perhaps I should visit Ta-lo in my free time. I bet I could learn a lot from them.
We were still watching when suddenly, what seemed to be an earthquake shook the entirety of Heaven to its core. Yup, it seemed like an earthquake but wasn't, that much I was sure of, afterall I am connected to Heaven.
I shot a glance at Aspect who nodded and closed his eyes for a second. Gasp! An entire second just to process what was going on. Seems like we were in for a real pickle this time around.
One second later he opened his eyes and looked at me. Although he still spotted his perpetually calm expression, I could feel a tiny weeny sense of unease.
"Alright, hit me." I said and turned away from the screen of Jacob's life, fully prepared to stand up from my Throne after so many decades of warming into it.
"It is A Convergence Event."
"Huh?"
…
Normal POV
The Convergence Event is a rare cosmic event that occurs once every 5,000 years. It is an event during which the Focal points of the Ten Realms of the universe align perfectly.
This alignment causes the boundaries between the realms to become thin, leading to the possibility of travel between them.
During the Convergence, the laws of physics and reality blur across the Ten Realms. Portals appear at random, allowing objects and individuals to move between realms almost instantaneously.
This phenomenon leads to a chaotic merging of different realms' environments, making travel between them both possible and unpredictable.
"So you're telling me that sigh am event is about to take place?" Leucadius asked while sporting a serious expression.
"Affirmative."
"And that quake from earlier was only a prelude to it?"
"Affirmative. Apparently, as the highest of the Realm, we received prior alarm before it officially kicked off." Aspect replied and produced a projection of the current situation of the Ten realms.
"Hmm." Leucadius hummed while looking at the projection. For some reason, he felt something related to him was about to take place but he couldn't place a finger to it. 'This is weird.' he thought and directly ignored the feeling.
"Have all possible point of entrance manned in case of any intrusions." Leucadius ordered. "And be sure to be polite. I don't want the notorious image of the past Heven to persist in the mind of everyone in the cosmos."
Although it was that same image that made them seem nigh-invincible to their enemies, Leucadius didn't want heaven to have that sort of image under his regime.
"Understood." Aspect said and disappeared. Leucadius didn't understand why he always liked to do things with it's physical body when it could just direct whatever he wanted from their location.
Still, he shrugged and turned back to the screen showing Jacob's life. But as he did, his jaw nearly hit the floor as he saw the events unfolding down on Earth.
"What. The. Actual. Fuck."

A/N: If you've read the bible even once, I'm pretty sure you already know what made Leucadius' freeze in shock.
If you don't know, then wait for the next chapter. I'll be posting it soon.
