Chapter 50: strange girl
As I was standing in front of the door to my own room, I heard a rattling sound from inside and my hand, which I reached out to open the door handle, stopped in the air.
Apparently my senior had woken up. Before going in, I started to check the clothes I was wearing. Since we were on some kind of secret mission, my clothes were both civilian and old.
The reason I was so prepared to talk to the senior was because I was going to ask her for a king-level spell. About a month ago, I learnt the contents of the latest top level spell book in the magic library.
I had to be a magic king who knew at least one king level spell to enter the section with king level spells.
Since I didn't have a king level spell, I wanted to invent my own king level spell, but apparently creating a spell from scratch was a much more difficult process than I expected.
Since the spell I wanted to cast was not very important to me, I decided to create a gigantic fireball using a single magic ring. But the only technique I could think of to create a gigantic fireball without turning the magic ring into a double magic ring was to use a gigantic magic ring.
Unfortunately, that didn't help much either. A magic apprentice could recite chants and use a basic spell, a wizard could activate spells and shorten chants with the help of drawn magic rings, a magic master could create magic rings out of thin air. In the light of this information, a magic king should probably have a characteristic that makes him a magic king.
Whoever the girl was inside my room, I had confirmed that she had a large amount of mana in her body while carrying her on my lap, moreover, considering the danger she made me feel without doing anything, I believed that she would at least become a magic king.
I had to somehow make that girl accept me and get the key to becoming a magic king from her. After repeating this thought a few times, I took a deep breath and knocked on the door twice.

As I pressed my teeth more tightly together with each question I asked, I looked at the quilt that was constantly shaking.
Shouldn't you at least thank a person who helped you, fed you with special sweets, rented an inn room for you, recognised you when you were unconscious and was ultra careful not to drown while trying to pour water into your thirsty mouth?
"Senpai, I actually have a favour to ask of you."
"Senpai?"
"Senpai, can you teach me how to be a magic king?"
She's still not answering, does she think you're pretending to be asleep or something?
"I think I've asked too much... Would you allow me to watch you use a Senpai king-class spell?"

I think she's ignoring me because I asked for something without introducing myself.
"My name is Yuto. I'm an ordinary villager and I'm 8 years old."
The quilt's trembling has increased. I think she was pleased ...
"I'm currently travelling with the lady I serve, Shizune-sama, and her aunt Natalia-sama. I was looking for an inn for the night in this town when I saw you."
Because of the contradiction between my two statements, she should probably ask a question now

Yuto angrily stood up and tried to take the quilt that the girl pulled over her. Sensing the danger, the girl, of course, was not going to give up so quickly, the girl tried to stop Yuto by grabbing the quilt with all her strength

Ehehheehheehhehehehehe... Answer? What was the question? Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. I didn't listen to his question. What am I going to say, what am I going to do if he says I don't take him seriously and belittles me? Ahhhhhh how could I make such a mistake? I'm really stupid!!!
"Senpai, are you all right?"
