Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Leaving the Blackstar family [2]

—Tap, Tap, Pit-Tap, Pit-pat, pit-tap...

The downpour began to cascade in the city of Clonton, a rare occurrence in this urban landscape.

In an alleyway, nestled away from the bustling streets but not entirely detached from the city's pulse, a scene unfolded.

There, amidst the rain's cleansing embrace, stood an overweight boy, his tear-stained face bearing the weight of unseen burdens.

"Mommy, look at that person. He looks like he might be homeless. Should we give him some food?"

The innocence in the child's voice rang out, a stark contrast to the world around them.

The mother's grip tightened on the child's arm as she hesitated, torn between compassion and caution.

"No, dear. It's alright. He'll manage somehow," she said, her words carrying a hint of resignation.

"Are you sure, Mommy? Won't he get hungry? Won't he get cold?"

The child's concern echoed in the alleyway, his genuine worry touching the hearts of any who might hear.

"No, silly. He's fat. That will also keep him warm," chimed in the little sibling, their innocence casting a bittersweet light on the situation.

With a gentle yet firm tug, the mother urged her children to move on.

"Shhh... Come, let's get away from here," she whispered, her voice a blend of tenderness and urgency.

"Okay, Mommy!"

"Coming, Ma!"

—Sniffle

"I'm 25, for crying out loud. Get it together," I muttered to myself, chastising my own emotional state even as tears threatened to spill down my cheeks.

Memories of the mansion flooded my mind, each one a painful reminder of the reality I now found myself in.

I had been thrust into this unfamiliar world without warning,

armed only with fragmented knowledge gleaned from a game I barely played more than three hours.

As the rain continued to fall, I silently wept, the weight of my situation pressing down on me like a leaden cloak.

How was I supposed to proceed in this world when I knew nothing about it?

The only semblance of guidance I had was the vague recollection of events that never transpired here.

In the game, I had to confronted Arthur Ash, the main character, and than get disowned.

But in this reality, my own father had disowned me before I even set foot in M.I.C.

—Cough, cough

"Cough, ha, cough, hahahahahhah," I wheezed between fits of mirth, the sound of my own laughter ringing foreign in my ears.

A laughter bubbled up from within me, unexpected and uncontrollable, echoing off the walls of the alleyway.

Despite the curious stares of passersby, I found myself oddly comforted by the rain pouring down around me, as if it shared in my moment of release.

"That's okay, no, this is good actually," I muttered to myself, a wry smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

As the downpour intensified, I chuckled again, the sound mingling with the rhythm of the rain.

"Hahahaha..."

With a deep breath, I sank into a seated position, the wet pavement cool against my skin.

It would be disingenuous, a lie to claim I hadn't anticipated the turn of events that led me here. Deep down, I knew what was coming.

And as I sat there, drenched to the bone, I couldn't help but acknowledge the truth: the one who had brought me into this world was none other than myself.

Or rather, the version of myself that existed in this reality—Aren Blackstar.

How did I know?

The past three and half days in my stay at the mansion, I found couple of oddities that stood out to me.

The first one being the payment for M.I.C in advance, normally not a lot of people have the capacity to pay full four years in advance and to pay in advance you have to request for it before hand. Which I was sure no one from the Blackstar mansion would care or do that espically when it comes to me.

So who did it?

There's only one culprit, me, or rather the previous owner of this body.

The second clue is the whip I found in my room. It was likely the same one used against my personal maid, Lily Parker.

Now, that wouldn't be suspicious if 'villainous Aren' were just committing his typical villainous acts.

However, the whip I found was brand new, still wrapped in plastic packaging. It had been purchased and used just before I got Isekaied into this world.

And then there's the matter of the attempted sexual-assault on both the maid and my now ex-fiancée.

Again, it could have been chalked up to "villainous Aren" acting out, but how can someone attempt such a thing twice and get caught lacking both times?

In the days leading up to my disownment, nobody entered my room except for Lily, my personal maid. So you're telling me he somehow got caught twice?

No, it seems he ensured Ayla was always present nearby before making any attempts, guaranteeing that he would be caught.

Thirdly, what tipped me off that something was likely to go down in the mansion was the personal computer.

I discovered access to my father's, Nathen Blackstar's, bank accounts, along with another account in my name, along with an ally named "Amias."

Amias was my last name on Earth—Aren Amias. It couldn't be a coincidence.

The computer also had access to my father's and my little sister's smartphones, with the connections established just a day before my arrival.

I swiftly transferred all of its access to my smartphone, and when Ayla burst through the door, I made sure to wipe the PC clean with the press of a button on the keyboard.

With all these evidences and the fact that I knew I would be disowned from the game, albeit was not expecting this early but there were clear tell-tale signs, I knew this was coming.

I was still caught off-guard because I didn't speak Glyndor fluently, and everything unfolded much sooner than expected.

This also suggests something significant: the future depicted in the game likely wouldn't occur, or it's entirely fabricated.

It could also mean that "Aren Blackstar" does not possess knowledge of the future, as I initially suspected.
