Chapter 86: Ramsey joined.
<General perspective>
Shaw and Ramsey pulled into a diner for lunch as the evening shadows stretched across the parking lot. After a simple meal, Shaw received a message from Katie, informing him that he could stay at Ava's Las Vegas mansion, as she might visit soon.
Nodding, Shaw set off for Las Vegas, changing cars three times along the way to ensure they weren't being followed. By the time they arrived, it was night. The mansion's electronic doors opened silently at Katie's remote command. Shaw entered with a bag of takeout he had ordered online. After a quiet dinner, he turned to Ramsey.
"If you're thinking about running back to that DSS agent after you get to your room, think again," Shaw said, his voice low and firm. "They couldn't stop me when I was alone. They won't be able to protect you."
Ramsey fell silent, contemplating Shaw's words. He was right; he had dismantled every obstacle in his path, while those she trusted to protect her had failed miserably.
"You can go to sleep now," Shaw added, glancing at the clock. "It's nearly midnight."
Ramsey nodded, her thoughts heavy as she headed to the room Shaw had assigned her. She fell asleep, her mind racing with thoughts of her uncertain future.
An hour later, a portal shimmered into existence inside the mansion, and Ava stepped through, followed by her gang. She found Shaw lounging on the sofa, the flicker of news channels illuminating his face.
"We cleared the whole continent," Ava announced, a note of triumph in her voice. "We're also starting to build the base."
Shaw merely nodded, unperturbed by the seemingly impossible feat. He understood the time dilation between their worlds—five hours spent there translated to just over an hour here.
Ava invited Shaw to join them, but he declined. After a brief conversation with Queenie, he retired for the night, his mind already strategizing for the days ahead as he knew DSS and thank government agent won't leave him alone.

Ramsey woke up early and went through her morning routine. Descending the stairs, she was surprised to find five women and one man seated at the dining table, enjoying breakfast. On the sofa, Shaw was engrossed in conversation with a woman sporting short hair.
A woman seated next to Shaw glanced up as Ramsey entered. "Oh, you're up. Breakfast is ready. Help yourself, we have more to discuss afterwards."
Ramsey nodded, feeling a wave of confusion. She had no idea who these people were. She took a seat, and the woman across from her introduced herself.
"I'm Nora, new to this organization, and this is my husband, Emmett," she said, gesturing to the man beside her.
"I'm Ramsey," she replied, curiosity piqued. "How long have you been here?"
"Counting today, it's been four days," Nora answered.
Ramsey leaned in, eager to learn more. "What's this organization like? I think I have to join to stay safe."
Nora smiled. "It's great. We even got a night in Las Vegas after three days of work."
Before she could elaborate more, Emmett intervened. "Nora, that's enough. She hasn't joined us yet."
Nora apologized, "Sorry, I can't say more."
Ramsey nodded and focused on her sandwich, observing the group. After breakfast, Nora and Emmett left to buy some clothes and gifts for zach and beau, leaving Andy, Queenie, Deckard, Elena, Ares, and Ava behind.
Ava turned to Ramsey. "So, how much did my brother tell you about the organization?"
"Are you his sister?" Ramsey asked.
Ava nodded. "Not biologically, but in name."
Ramsey nodded. Ava began to explain the organization's nature—it was neutral, neither good nor evil, driven by necessity and cause. Advancement and perks required high ranking.
Ramsey asked, "You don't want God's Eye?" As she don't believe they don't want it.
Ava chuckled. "Why would I, when I have something better?"
Intrigued, ramsey asked, "something better."
Ava replied, "You will know it later, so do you want to join."
Ramsey asked, "Do I have a choice?"
Ava smiled. "I'm not forcing you. But if you join now, you'll start just below my brother's rank."
Ramsey thought for a moment extended her hand. "Okay, I accept."
Ava shook her hand. "Welcome to the organization."
Ava opened a portal to her lab in Houston. Ramsey stared in horror as she started doubt her decision of join the organization.
Ava turned to Elena and Ares. "You know the procedure."
They nodded and guided Ramsey through the portal.
Once they were gone, Ava looked at Queenie and Shaw, holding a pendrive. "I want to fast-track the recruitment process. Check if the people on this list are eligible and trustworthy."
Queenie scoffed. "You want an old woman like me to work this hard?"
Deckard and Ava choked at Queenie's self-description as she looks young now.
Ava turned serious. "Brother, do you know the best lobbyist in America?"
Deckard thought for a moment. "I do. What do you need her for?"
Ava showed him a news article about the government's vow to find Miss Anonymous and her associates. "I tried to buy senators anonymously, but they want both money and my tech so decided that I need my own political party."
Deckard chuckled. "Politics isn't your expertise."
"I know, that's why I need someone who can handle it," Ava replied.
Deckard saw her determination. "Alright, I'll get her. But remember, she's the biggest liar and she can use anyone to win what she wants."
Ava smirked. "Sounds like you have a history with her."
Deckard's expression turned blank. "Do you want her or not?"
Ava nodded eagerly. "Yes, just don't make another scene like in San Francisco."
Deckard scowled. "It wasn't my fault that Mr. She-Hulk tried to smash me."
Ava laughed at the nickname Shaw had given Hobbs.
Ava then said, "Remember, the party I promised is tonight. Invite anyone, but let me know."
Deckard nodded. "I'll invite Cipher. She wants to meet you, and this might show her how powerful we are, so we can have the upper hand while talking with her."
Ava raised an eyebrow and nodded as she understood what Shaw was trying to say. "Inform her to come alone," Ava said.
Deckard nodded.
Ava then called John to inform him about the party and asked him to come to the old mansion where she could create a portal.
After Nora and Emmett returned, Ava created a portal to her villa in Houston, and everyone went through it.
Upon arriving, Ava picked up Beau and Zach while dropping Ares off with her sister. She then opened a portal for Emmett, Nora, Zach, and Beau to their world.
After they left, Andy went to her salon and said she would be back in time for tonight's party, with Queenie following her.
Ramsey was still in the VR world, so Ava looked at Deckard and asked, "Bro, can you stay here with her? You can also join her in the VR world."
Deckard nodded, wore a VR helmet, and entered the VR world.
Ava then opened a portal to New Jersey as she wanted to surprise Regina. Elena also joined her.

In KT hospital, the whole building was secured by a SWAT team.
Hobbs was on the bed with his left arm fractured and bandages all over his body. His 5-year-old daughter, Samantha, was with him.
Mr. Nobody walked down the hallway while the doctor informed him about Hobbs' current status: Hobbs had a fractured left arm and muscle cramps all over his body, and he had just regained consciousness this morning.
Mr. Nobody entered the room with a file in his hand. He also had a bandage on his face, and his right hand was wrapped in bandages.
The nurse took Samantha out of the room to the cafeteria.
After Samantha left, Hobbs looked at Mr. Nobody and asked, "So who was that bald Superman?"
Mr. Nobody handed the file to Hobbs and said, "He was a former British Special Forces assassin. Everything else about him is inside the file."
Hobbs nodded, took the file, and read it thoroughly. After reading it, Hobbs asked, "What happened after 2008?"
Mr. Nobody replied, "Some agents from MI6 went after him to eliminate him."
Hobbs asked, "So they missed?"
Mr. Nobody replied while shaking his head, "No, he killed them all, then he went missing."
Hobbs nodded and asked, "Do we have any information about where he went with Ramsey?"
Mr. Nobody sighed and replied, "No, not a single CCTV camera captured him, and he is an expert at hiding. We can't find him unless he wants us to."
Hobbs clenched his fist and asked, "So we can't do anything?"
Mr. Nobody patted Hobbs's shoulder and said, "Don't worry, I will try my best to find him." After saying that, Mr. Nobody fell into thought.
Hobbs just nodded, but as he saw Mr. Nobody thinking about something, Hobbs asked, "What are you thinking about?"
Mr. Nobody snapped out of his thoughts and said, "I was thinking that Shaw didn't kill a single person in the building. He just knocked them out or broke some bones."
After Mr. Nobody said that, Hobbs also thought about how Shaw could have killed him with a gun but instead just threw him onto a car.
