VALENCIA'S POV

A blush crept up my neck as I saw him standing sternly with a scowl.

As if even the bird was offended by his words, Happy glared at Maverick.

"Come on, get up. Don't you want her to get better? She needs to be fed," Maverick stepped ahead with a bowl of soup.

He was indeed playing games with my Happy, and I sighed when the bird looked at me.

"Would you like to eat something?" I smiled before I looked at Dylan, who sighed and went outside.

He came back with a piece of tofu, and I sliced a small part of it before extending it to the bird, who happily took it.

His eyes crinkled as if he was happy being fed like this, and I couldn't help but shake my head at him.

"Now I shall eat too, right?" I said, and Happy nodded before he walked away from my face in the same cartoony manner, making him chuckle as he turned to glare at me.
