"I... I stepped on Blood Demon Bug and accidentally killed it." Rufi's face paled instantly as she answered him in a very low voice, as if she did not want anyone to hear.

"So?"

This was Emrys's first time hearing about Blood Demon Bug, but he did not overthink. This bug was only a Second Step Creature. What is there to be afraid about?

Rufi took a deep breath and explained in a trembling voice, "A Blood Demon Bug is nothing actually, that is only when it is alone. Blood Demon Bugs, however, live in a colony like ants. A single colony might have tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of these small creatures. Although the Third or Fourth Step Demon Bugs among them, that is the end of their evolution path. These bugs can never climb higher than Fourth Step."
