Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Legendary Father and Daughter

Baron Kormac, upon receiving the silver coin, was taken aback and quickly feigned anger, roaring, "You scoundrel, daring to steal from me! Your Highness, these people never set foot in my estate, yet they come to steal my wealth These wretched commoners are truly despicable. Your Highness, please intervene on my behalf!"

The tearful display, if not for knowing the other party was acting, Arthas might have been deceived.

The acting of these individuals far surpassed that of so-called popular stars; they could cry on cue, truly talented individuals.

"Has the scout completed the investigation?" Arthas inquired of his captain of the guard.

"Your Highness, the scout's report indicates that these two individuals were indeed stonemasons at Baron Kormac's estate, along with other stonemasons from the Kingdom of Stormwind who can testify," Captain Fandral replied emotionlessly, devoid of any sentiment.

Devoid of emotion, diligently carrying out his duties, safeguarding the prince's safety, serving His Royal Highness Prince is his mission.

Arthas drew the longsword from his waist, a type of one-handed sword thicker and heavier than ancient longswords, weighing around thirty pounds. "I do not wish to meddle in the affairs of nobles, but playing tricks in front of me. Do they take me for a fool? Good."

After speaking, Arthas thrust the sword into Baron Kormac's belly, the excruciating pain almost making him scream, only to be pulled out by Arthas and slashed again, then kicked away.

A holy light descended, temporarily curing Baron Kormac, yet the pain and torture left him shivering on the ground.

"Your Highness, Your Highness, I-I didn't do it."

Another sword strike, Arthas kicked the troublemaker, Knight Roton, away, one sword strike, one kick, and then a holy light cure.

"Take them back to Lordaeron and lock them up in prison on charges of treason, await trial. I will deal with them upon my return. Inform the warden, whoever comes, do not release them; if they insist, come find me I want to see who dares to disrupt the kingdom's order during wartime, you human traitor!" Arthas snorted, showing no interest, then turned to the cowering Viscount Roton of the Kingdom of Stormwind. "Send him back as well, hand him over to Varian. A bunch of useless people, incapable in battle but quite adept at being a burden."

Thus, the farce of a noble harassing a commoner woman came to an end. Arthas resolved the matter with his prestige, standing on the side of righteousness, untouchable by anyone.

Waving his hand to dismiss the soldiers, Arthas approached the father and daughter.

"What are your names?"

"Edwin Van Cleef," Edwin introduced hastily, a weather-beaten yet somewhat handsome middle-aged man, smiling at the moment.

Expressing great gratitude towards Arthas, "Your Highness, thank you."

"I'm Vanessa VanCleef," Vanessa curiously observed Arthas, sensing his strength, having only heard 'Your Highness' without knowing Arthas's identity.

"Ah, this comedy must have amused you. I am Arthas, the prince of Lordaeron. I may not have control over those nobles, but you are different. Now, there are two paths for you to choose from, one is to simply go back and leave Lordaeron." Arthas paused, giving them time to digest.

This is no joke offending the nobles of Lordaeron is no small matter. These are not just some remote barons they hold real power within Lordaeron, some even have ties to pirates and bandits, engaging in dirty and despicable deeds.

Arthas cannot handle them, nor does he dare to.

But Vanessa and her companions are different they are just commoners, considered lowly by the nobles, not even worthy of being called people. Taking out their anger on them seems only natural.

"We choose the second option," Vanessa spoke directly, bypassing her father, her eyes fixed on Arthas. "You are a good prince, I believe in you."

"Haha, why isn't the second option handing you over for them to take out their anger on?" Arthas smirked, staring at Vanessa's charming face.

She may be a young girl, perhaps even younger than him. But the child of a poor family matures early Arthas could see Vanessa's wit and passion.

"You wouldn't, you are Prince Arthas."

Vanessa was also a bit nervous she had heard of Arthas's name. As the sole heir to the throne, how could he be unknown?

"Your Highness, please, save us. We are truly innocent," Edwin pleaded, genuinely worried that Arthas might hand them over to the nobles, which would not end well. Especially for his daughter, he dreaded the thought of what might happen to her.

Chromie, listening in the background, rolled her eyes and whispered to Theralion, "I've never seen a Paladin like this before."

Theralion tilted his head cutely, looking at Chromie. "Shh, let's just watch."

Listening to the hushed conversation between the two dragon ladies, Arthas felt a bit speechless. His Paladin ways were somewhat different, not as straightforward and selfless.

"You're Edwin, right? Good. Take this token to Arthas Manor, recruit the masons you trust, and I will provide you with funds."

Taking the token, Edwin asked anxiously, "Your Highness, what do you need me to do?"

"Gather skilled masons, blacksmiths who can work for me, craftsmen who can help build the city. Those willing to leave their homes, relocate their families. Make sure they are trustworthy; how you verify that is up to you. I give orders and only care about the results. If you satisfy me, I will give you a position to work under me," Arthas instructed, preparing for the migration.

"As for you, you will serve as my handmaiden. With this status, those people won't dare to harm your father. That's it, Edwin. This is an opportunity; don't disappoint me," Arthas concluded and left with many tasks awaiting him.

Unexpectedly gaining a legendary father-daughter duo was quite a catch.

From the storyline, Edwin indeed showed promise initially loyal and dedicated, having such a person serve him was truly advantageous.

Commoners often wholeheartedly devote themselves to the nobles who elevate them without a patron, climbing the social ladder becomes exceedingly difficult!"
