Chapter 135: The Figure in the Sky

"Thousand Pillars Sword Style, Attack!" Falken used one of the latest techniques he had learned from the combat style created by Damian specifically for his people. Behind him, several swords made of golden battle aura materialized, and a powerful attack slowly formed.

Finally, with a powerful agitation in the surroundings and an increasing concentration of power, Falken launched forward. In just an instant, two powerful impact sounds were heard. However, the golden light swords struck the chest and various parts of his enemy, causing him horrible and fatal wounds.

When the dust settled, there was a large crater in the ground, and the man of the dark was kneeling, continuously spitting blood. His helmet fell, and Falken, who was sure it was a man, was pleasantly surprised to see the face of a beautiful woman who was slowly losing her life.

"You have freed me, knight. My curse was to live as a hated and despised man by all humans. This is your victory." The man of the dark, no, rather the woman inside a prison, was liberated as death began to embrace her body.

She lifted her head and looked at the beautiful blue sky, cleared earlier by Kaelen's attack. Her face showed a certain sadness. However, although she knew she was dying, she had no regrets and accepted her death with open arms.

"Tell me, is the Demon King your lord?" Frieren asked as she sheathed her sword and slowly walked towards her enemy.

"My name is Carla. I was once human. The Demon King was the only one who saw my true face and promised to restore my body to its original state. Although I knew he was lying, that feeling of trust and kindness was something I had never felt from any other human after leaving that labyrinth. You can think what you want, each of us serves a different being; we are just simple pawns..."

"No, my lord is not a god and has never considered himself one, although we happily declare him our god. He is just a human, a human with the same flaws, mistakes, and desires to protect what he can within his means. As for yours, he is just a simple god who hides and only sends his apostles to a lost battle."

In the end, although her enemy was similar in strength to a first-class swordsman, Falken's last attack ended up destroying her. Without any consideration, he watched as she bled out and died slowly.

In a life-or-death fight, Falken saw how his men gained experience, and the wounds now on their bodies were more than enough for them to learn how much they lacked to be strong.

Boom!

At that moment, Frieren, who was facing an unknown figure, started to use increasingly powerful spells, shaking the earth and creating powerful gusts of wind due to the impacts in the air.

"It's a pity she died so miserably. Well, she was just a simple pawn." A voice interrupted Falken's thoughts as he was watching Kaelen's back.

In front of them, an incredibly normal-looking being appeared, holding a silver-colored metallic sword in his hands. But when they least expected it, that sword in his hand stabbed into his chest, and every part of his body began to expand at an alarmingly abnormal speed.

"What kind of demon is that?!" The surrounding paladins raised their swords in surprise.

Frieren's expression remained indifferent as she prepared to cast a fire spell.

"I don't know, but we'd better attack!" Falken didn't want to waste time, so he told Frieren to cast her best and most powerful spell to eliminate this new enemy instantly.

"Do not interfere!" Frieren raised her magic staff and said in a cold tone: "Meteors of the Yellow Sky, shine and embrace all my enemies!"

At the moment she spoke those words, a powerful concentration of magic was directed towards a single attack, and in an instant, the attack was formed and launched seconds after being created. The powerful wave of attack made even the ground open up, generating powerful waves of heat.

Falken's eyes widened in surprise; that magical attack was truly terrifying, and he was sure that even if the enemy was stronger than the previous one, this attack was more than enough to win and defeat the enemy.

Boom!

When the explosion ravaged the enemy, the disaster spread for several hundred meters, creating a powerful shockwave that raised a great curtain of smoke. The fire used in this attack formed into several powerful circles that launched continuously like meteors. When one struck, two more followed, further devastating the battlefield.

Boom! Boom!

However, when everyone thought they had won, a charred figure shot out from the curtain of flames, heading towards Frieren, who had just unleashed a powerful spell.

How

is this possible?

The divine-class spell should have pulverized his body! Then why is the enemy still moving? As Frieren tried to cast a defensive spell, her mind went blank, unable to react.

However, at that moment, Kaelen appeared with a powerful battle aura and confronted the enemy directly. One, two, three sword strikes shook the surroundings, leaving three terrible wounds on the enemy's chest.

"Is he dead?"

"No, he isn't!" shouted one of the paladins nearby, seeing a powerful fist emerge from the dust and punch their captain.

Falken felt his body shaken with great force before being sent flying and crashing into the ground with a heavy impact.

Boom!

But before Frieren could cast another spell, Damian appeared beside her and murmured, "Enough games, Divine General, bring me his head."

Roooooarrrr!

A colossal figure descended from the sky, a magnificent puppet exuding an intimidating presence. The Divine General, an embodiment of Damian's pinnacle creation, landed with a thunderous roar, shaking the battlefield. Its imposing stature, towering above all, was adorned in ornate armor with intricate designs, radiating an ethereal glow.

The paladins and warriors present felt a mix of awe and terror as the Divine General prepared to engage the still-standing enemy. The air crackled with anticipation, and the ground trembled under its weight.

The charred enemy, despite the grievous wounds inflicted by Kaelen, stood defiant, an unholy aura surrounding him. He glared at the Divine General, his eyes burning with a sinister light.

The Divine General wasted no time. With a single, swift motion, it raised its massive sword, the blade gleaming with divine energy. The ground quaked as it brought the sword down with immense force, aiming directly at the enemy.

Boom!

The impact was cataclysmic. The enemy tried to resist, summoning dark energies to shield himself, but the power of the Divine General was overwhelming. The clash of forces created shockwaves that rippled through the battlefield, knocking back anyone too close.

The enemy's defenses shattered, and the Divine General's sword cleaved through his body, splitting him in half. Dark blood sprayed into the air as the enemy's lifeless body collapsed to the ground, finally defeated.

The battlefield fell silent. The Divine General stood tall, its victory absolute. Damian watched with satisfaction as his creation lowered its sword, the mission accomplished.

Frieren, still processing the sudden turn of events, let out a sigh of relief. The immediate threat was neutralized, and the presence of the Divine General ensured no further surprises.

The paladins and warriors began to regroup, tending to the wounded and securing the area. Falken, though battered, stood up with the help of his comrades, his gaze fixed on Damian and the Divine General.

"We owe you our lives," Falken said, his voice filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Damian."

Damian nodded, acknowledging the sentiment. "We fight together, Falken. Your strength and bravery are what led us to victory."

As the battlefield settled, the blue sky above seemed to shine brighter, a symbol of hope and triumph over the darkness they had faced.
