Chapter 112: Near a Pause

The wall where the demons were located was brought down in a kamikaze attack executed by Damian's puppets, who did everything possible to reach the city, successfully destroying it.

The city wall collapsed with the help of the super-alchemy bomb.

Damian led the Northern Army soldiers and easily stormed into the territory that was once human.

Without the protection of the city's fortifications and being attacked by alchemy bombs from virtually every direction, the orcs in the castle were massacred.

Meanwhile, Damian was also engaged in his own battle.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

He and Frieren were moving through the sky, attacking a gigantic demon that had appeared out of nowhere with the intention of tearing down the ever-growing walls.

"What kind of demon is that?" The entire night guard, who were young graduates, froze when they saw that giant fighting against the lords of this place.

Drogo, who was ordering the catapults to be fired at the earth demons, shouted, "Stop wasting damn time and attack; we'll handle the demons at our level."

"Yes, our Lord Damian and Lady Frieren will take care of the demon; do not fear and fight to the death."

"Aaahhhh!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Damian was not exerting himself in the fight; he wanted to see how strong Frieren was, as she hadn't participated in combat for a long time.

"To the right, I'll cover you." Damian, in sync with Frieren, raised his hand, creating a powerful spell to prevent the enemy's spell from hitting their army or walls.

Frieren, without any emotion on her face, fired several white lightning bolts that struck the limbs of the enormous demon, who roared each time one of them hit its body.

Despite the damage to the enemy, they did not stop; Damian did not want to halt since damaging the great wall would be a significant setback for his growth.

"You will not advance from this point." Damian crossed his arms and, for a brief moment, released a small part of his mana, making the ground tremble.

Frieren then moved away. She watched as a dark circle formed in the sky, and within that space, a giant of fire emerged, holding a mighty sword bathed in crimson flames.

No one in the world has ever seen a power like this before. The creation of this enormous puppet rivaled the giant advancing towards the walls, and in an instant, they clashed.

Boom!

The giant's flaming sword pierced the demon; this demon was Albion, whom Damian had previously seen in the memories of the demon they had tortured.

"A rule you must learn on the battlefield is never to trust demons; when they appear to have lost, that's when they launch a devastating counterattack." Damian summoned a series of lightning spears that he hurled onto the battlefield.

Frieren's eyes showed understanding; she had learned a lot about humans and how demons always tried to deceive them.

At that moment, stopping this demon's advance, it was time for Damian to eliminate it, so he extended his hand towards the sky and murmured, "Lightning God's Sword, respond to my call, and eradicate all signs of life."

This was the first time Damian recited a chant to cast a spell; it had never been necessary until now. When he finished murmuring these words, the sky darkened, and an enormous lightning sword formed in his hand.

Boom!

The sword was gigantic, larger than even the demon, and without much effort, Damian hurled it at the enemy with the intention of leaving absolutely nothing of its body.

"Everyone, take cover." Drogo shouted in horror as he saw that sword, which seemed to end the world, shoot out.

It was as if the world had suddenly illuminated, everything becoming eerily silent and very white, alarming everyone.

Damian, surprised by this attack, reappeared near Frieren and shielded them both with a barrier that surrounded them immediately.

"Didn't you say we would train?" Frieren pushed Damian away, who had fixed his gaze on the massive destruction that had ravaged a large part of the land miles away.

There was no simple answer to these complaints, so Damian said, "I was just testing that spell."
