THE ENCOUNTER II

 CHAPTER FOUR

 THE ENCOUNTER II

"Can you stop? I don't want to do this anymore." Megami said it in a very calm voice.

"Really? Megami I waited for you all these centuries; do you know how long I had missed you?." Yuuma said

"I want to go home," Megami said as she rolled down from the bed to avoid his advances.

"Megami, you are home; this right here is your home; I am also your home," Yuuma said it impatiently.

Megaimi tried leaving the room; he dragged her in anger and pushed her. When she stood up, she couldn't believe her eyes. The room changed to her main room.

"What just happened? How did I get here?" Megami said, frightened and in disbelief. He was in her room with her. She stared at him with wide eyes.

He laughed; he was smiling and admiring her big, round eyes. This century's Megami still looked like the 13th-century Megami. She never changed her facial appearance; just her mouth got sharper like a sword.

"Can you just calm down? Look at me; I will always love you." He said this while holding her shoulder.

"He is just a freak; it is obvious that I am afraid of him, and he is talking about love. What makes him so strange? I truly need an exorcism." I thought to myself.

"What are you saying? Talk to me; I can tell you why we are here or anything you want to know." Yuuma said this while hugging her tightly.

Megami closed her eyes and screamed. She opened her eyes; he was no more, but she was lying on her bed. She stood up and went to the kitchen to drink water.

"What was that just now?" I asked no one in particular; I needed an explanation. I guess it was just my imagination of being single from birth.

I walked around the house, thinking about how it happened. How did it get here? I moved to my dad's room; he wasn't there. He must have gone for his morning exercise. After getting ready for work, I moved out with my files.

Two ladies approached me on my way to work; one looked neat while the other looked so dirty. I ignored them. I quickened my steps to avoid them.

"Megami," the dirty-looking one called me. I stopped and turned back. I wondered how they knew my name.

"Look at her ignoring us; I guess she forgot it was her fault we are still here," the clean one said.

"Who are you? I don't know you," I asked.

I was confused at that moment. Who are they? They acted serious, like they knew me so well. I felt kind of sad, even though I don't know them. I felt like I had acted so badly toward them before.

"You are still following him," the cleaner said.

"she even has his bracelet on," the dirty one said

I looked at my wrist; it was a bracelet, and I don't know how it came about. I tried removing it, but I couldn't; it's like it was sewn to my flesh.

"Her life got better; why will she leave him?" The dirty one said it angrily.

"Enjoy your life for now; we will still come for you when you have what we want." The clean one said as they left.

I stood dumbfounded; I was still scared; I couldn't respond to them; I just decided to keep quiet. How did I hurt them? The sun rays on the mirror wall in the street suddenly glittered. I looked at it. I couldn't see them; they were leaving, and their reflection wasn't in the mirror. But I wasn't scared anymore; I could feel a lot was going to happen to me. Am I abnormal? Or is it a personality disorder?

I took a ride to Samo Cave to see a fortune teller there. I went inside this adorable red hut. I wonder if she can see the future with all this teddy everywhere. I walked in, and the lady there bowed to me. I responded with a little bow, and I sat.

"Why didn't your fated mate tell you, Why are you here?" she said

"Who are you talking about? I said

"Oh, you don't even remember, the great Megami has resulted in this; very soon they will come for your life when they notice you are now powerless. Hundreds of them got hurt in the fire. Don't sleep outside your house unless you are with your fated mate; if not, you will be a lost god," she said, turning back and facing her altar.

I was just confused; I shouldn't have come here; it seems they are all attacking me. She called me just as I turned to go.

"Megami, just do everything so it can end in this century, so you can be reborn. You have lived this life for so long, and you are not a fully adored god," she said.

I left there laughing; she was just a con artist. I have slept outside my house up to 20 times. Who is she trying to fool? I haven't heard such absurd words before. I took a taxi to Yuu Publishing; I just wanted to end this escapade. Maybe I should just visit a psychologist to see if I am developing a personality disorder. I walked into the company, smiling because this was my real source of joy. I wrapped my card around my neck so I could pass the security check.

The elevator was filled with people, and I had to take the next one. After 3 minutes, I entered the elevator. I hummed, and I got a stare from a lady in the elevator. I bowed a bit to apologize and kept quiet. A man was at my back, which I didn't look at. After the elevator stopped and I exited, someone else hurriedly entered the elevator, brushing me off in the process. My bag fell, and my files were shattered on the floor. I assumed he looked like a rookie like me.

"Don't worry; I'm fine," I said

He bowed and said, "I am sorry." He left.

I bent down and picked them up; a stranger helped me. I looked up to thank him.

"Thank you very much, sir," I said. I looked at him, and our eyes locked.

Lo and behold, my jaw dropped. Who is he? …..,
