CHAPTER 3
THE ENCOUNTER
MEGAMI: I got off the bus, and I was very far from Sarka. It was getting so dark. I tried hailing a taxi from my smartphone app, but no one was available at that time. It's already 9 p.m.; why didn't anybody on the bus wake me up? I couldn't reach my dad because of some strange network glitch, and I don't know how it started. I started walking back home to Sarka and singing, but only a few cars were passing.
After walking for some distance, I wasn't really frightened anymore. I was kicking some stones while walking and reminiscing about my strange falls back in high school. I wonder why I haven't had a fall recently. I guess I am about to meet my fated man sooner than I had expected.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching. I stopped to listen. It stopped, and I felt like it might be my imagination playing tricks on me. I moved again and heard the footsteps loud and clear. I could see two shadows on the floor, one of mine and the other of a taller man. I ran as fast as my leg could carry me for twenty minutes. I was running like a speedboat. I arrived at a police station and started screaming.
I knew I was being overly dramatic, but I didn't care. I felt like if I had a big reaction, I might get a free ride home. I was sweating profusely and panting heavily when I walked to the officer's counter.
"Sir, somebody is chasing me; I lost track of the road to Sarka. Some guys were running after me, but I couldn't see their faces," I said, panting.
"Calm down, please. What is your name?." one officer said. The other officer offered me a glass of water, wearing a concerned face.
"My name is Megami," I replied, gulping the water.
"So what is it? What happened to you? Why are you disrupted?" the second officer asked. The officer was neatly dressed and good-looking.
"I can't find my way home; sir, I am lost.". I replied, acting pitiful. I gave them my dad's number and they called him. So the second officer decided to drive home to Sarka since his shift for the day was over. I smiled brightly; my mission was accomplished.
Shortly, we arrived in Sarka at my doorstep. My dad was outside waiting for me, holding two umbrellas. At that time, it was raining cats and dogs in Sarka. He thanked the police officer and handed him our local wine. The policeman was grateful; he smiled all through. He left after talking to Dad.
My dad and I went into the house. Our fully furnished house, in which we lived together for 8 years without my mom, who left and never came back.
"Congratulations, baby girl! You are the first woman in history to go to work and come back in a police car," he said wittingly.
"Thanks, Dad," I replied sarcastically while rolling my eyes.
"You are still proud of it; I think you should go live in a forest with tall trees. And communicate with people like you," he said, keeping a straight face.
"I wouldn't mind, Dad, as long as you are coming with me," she said, smiling.
"Okay, girl, go freshen up," he said, patting my shoulders and leaving for his room.
My dad has always been a live support system for me; I gained my energy from him. He was with me all this time, which kept me going; he was my mother and also my father. I just want to earn a lot of money and take him to Tokyo. I always wanted to find my mom in Tokyo, but I gave up the idea because my dad stopped talking about her. I didn't want to reopen his healed wounds.
I lay down on my bed, looking at the ceiling. My room is the most decorated in this house. My dad kept all my favorite cartoon characters and my paintings from middle school. I tossed around the bed for some hours, and I shot my eyes.
I opened my eyes. I was lying on a beautiful white bed. I immediately stood up and realized I was back here again. I scanned the room with my eyes, believing I was back in that house again. I walked towards the balcony and looked down; it was that beautifully built mansion. I saw a man dressed in black holding an umbrella; he had a black hat on. He was looking in my direction. Who is he, and what does he want? I left the room and came out to the wide sitting room.
I saw some maids; they all bowed to me when I passed. I gave them a little bow in response. I went to the man at the gate, and I opened the gate for him. He came in and hugged me. He said I missed you. With his voice, I knew it was the man from the other day. I let him into the house and went into the room without responding to him. I am still very scared of him.

She let me in the house; I just don't want to scare her like I did before. I instructed the maids to leave. I entered Megami's room and lay with her. I slowly touched her and she reacted in shock. I whispered to her.
"Don't worry, I won't do anything to you; I just want to stay by your side," I said, whispering into her ears.
I licked her ears and kissed her neck gently.
"My Megami, My special woman, just wants to live in this world with you," I said.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?' she asked softly. She was already getting into the character. I turned her towards me, kissed her with my cold lips, and sucked on her tongue. I wanted her to reminisce on our past sexual experiences when I made love to her in a cave. She let out a soft grunt from her throat...
