Chapter 40: Class B! + Oni's resignation

Yuto whistled as he sauntered into his new classroom, Class B.

The moment he crossed the threshold, the entire class went silent. All eyes locked onto him, their expressions ranging from awkward to straight-up confused.

"Eh? Did I do something wrong?" Yuto said, pointing to himself like he was the most innocent person in the world. Everyone exchanged glances before finally, a blue-haired boy stood up, nervously laughing.

"Hehe... don't mind us. It's just... kinda weird for someone we've never seen to suddenly declare he's in our class," he said.

A few other students nodded in agreement, clearly unsettled by Yuto's entrance.

"Oh! I'm Sho Shibata! Pleasure to make your acquaintance!" Shibata added, trying to salvage the awkwardness.

Yuto stared at Shibata for a solid second. Shibata flinched, bracing himself. But instead of a response, Yuto dramatically threw an arm around Shibata's shoulders, pulling him in like they were long-lost brothers. "Pleasure's all mine, Shibata-chan!" he declared. He then turned to address the entire class. "If you guys feel weird 'cause you don't know me, then just get familiar with me. Problem solved!"

Shibata flinched again, this time at the sheer absurdity of Yuto's "solution."

"...What."

"Nice to meet you, Kazuki-san!" a girl chimed in, breaking the tension.

Yuto shot her a charming smile. "Likewise."

The girl immediately blushed, her face going as red as a tomato.

Shibata's jaw dropped. 'What the fuck?!' His mind raced. 'That... that nonsensical solution actually worked?! And what's with this dude's insane charisma? What black magic is this? How did the Class D boys co-exist with this monster?!'

Before Shibata could process any of this, a flood of students—both girls and boys—swarmed Yuto, eager to introduce themselves. Yuto greeted each of them like they were old friends, his charm working its magic.

Ichinose, watching from a distance, chuckled. "Hehe... looks like we didn't even need to help Kazuki-kun make friends after all."

Kanzaki, arms still crossed with his usual serious look, nodded. "His social skills are on par with yours, Ichinose-san. It's terrifying."

He suddenly smirked mischievously, giving Ichinose a sidelong glance. "No wonder those rumors about you and Kazuki-kun got out of hand—"

"Kanzaki-san, enough!" Ichinose turned beet red, cutting him off before things escalated.

Before anyone could tease her further, a voice pierced through the classroom, making everyone freeze in their tracks. "Everyone~"

Class B collectively shivered and scampered back to their seats like they'd been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

"Kazuki-kun~ I suggest you sit down as well~" Chie, their homeroom teacher, stood at the door with a smile that could freeze lava. Yuto gulped.

'What is this terrifying aura?!' He immediately scrambled to his seat.

Once seated, he glanced at his deskmates. To his right was Ichinose, who gave him a polite smile. Yuto returned the gesture.

To his left sat a girl with violet eyes and black twin-tails streaked with cyan highlights. She looked half-dead, outwardly tired and disinterested. But Yuto, sharp as ever, could see the façade she wore. He smiled at her for a moment.

She narrowed her eyes suspiciously, before giving a hesitant nod.

Yuto leaned back in his seat, sighing. 'Alright, let's assess my new class...'

His eyes moved to Kanzaki. 'Horikita. But gender-swapped.'

Next, he glanced at Shibata. 'Hirata... but from the dollar store.'

His gaze shifted to Ichinose. 'Kei... but smarter... and cuter.'

Then, he turned back to the girl on his left. 'A sexier Matsushita!'

Finally, Yuto looked straight ahead at Chie, who was still smiling with that unsettling grin. 'Suspected psychopath as a homeroom teacher...'

He inhaled deeply, closing his eyes and pressing his fingers to his temple like a detective solving a case. 'Conclusion...'

Yuto's eyes snapped open as he nodded to himself. 'This is just an upgraded Class D!'

Hemino Yuki, the girl sitting to his left, glanced at Yuto nodding to himself like a madman. She grimaced, slumping in her seat. 'Why... why do I have to sit next to this weirdo?'

"I have been proud and grateful, for these past two years, to have led the student council body as your student council president," Manabu said, leaning slightly on the podium with a serious face. "Though as simple as this may be, this concludes my resignation speech."

Yuto, sitting in the audience, dramatically wiped his eyes. "Such a moving speech…" he sniffled, blowing into a handkerchief with unnecessary force.

Manabu bowed. "Thank you, everyone."

"He was such a good president…" Yuto sobbed, theatrically dabbing at fake tears while everyone around him maintained a respectful silence. Beside him, Yuki shot him a sideways glance, her eyebrow twitching. 'Don't act like the guy just died...' she thought, resisting the urge to smack him upside the head.

"Now, we'll hear a few words from the incoming new student council president," the announcer said, gesturing towards the stage as a blond-haired guy walked up.

Yuto's mood instantly soured. "Tsk. This ass is the one replacing Oni-chan," he muttered.

Yuki's entire body flinched. 'Oni-chan?!' she repeated in her head, her mind nearly short-circuiting. 'What's with this guy?!'

The blond-haired man stepped up to the podium with all the swagger of someone who thought too highly of himself. "I am your newly instituted SCP, Nagumo Miyabi of Class 2-A. I'll get to the point: I plan to turn this school into a true meritocracy."

Yuto, eyes suddenly wide with excitement, leaned forward in his seat and whispered way too loudly, "Damn! Finally, what I've been waiting for! I like this... what was his name again? Najiyo Minami or something?!"

Ichinose, sitting nearby, stifled a laugh as she leaned over and whispered back, "Kazuki-san, it's Nagumo Miyabi! Please stop messing around!"

Yuto furrowed his brow. "Eh?? I wasn't joking though."

Behind them, Shibata, taking mental notes as usual, watched Yuto's interaction closely. "Okay... to get Ichinose's attention, I just need to act like a baby!" he muttered under his breath, eyes gleaming with newfound determination.

Without even turning around, Mako Amikura, who had been quietly observing the whole situation, deadpanned, "Don't even try it, Shibata. It's only cute when Kazuki-kun does it. You'll just look like an overgrown baby. It'll be creepy."

Shibata's mouth fell open in pure shock. His hopes shattered instantly, like glass hitting concrete.

[A/n: Guys! You know, when I writing the part where Yuto was assessing the class, I was like, This class is only missing a Ayanokoji... Then I remembered the othe Hachiman fics.

So just asking, Does anyone want Hikigaya Hachiman in this book???

Yes.

(or)

No.

I will have to re-write some stuff and few of the exams like the Island exam and all won't make sense, but you guys want, we can play the 'Hachiman didn't want to get involved' card and add him anyway.. Idk you guys decide!]

No much plot progression.. Normal chapter...

Chapter 41: Nagumo-senpai!

[A/n: Guys, I have thought about it and Hachiman is a complicated character, I'm sure if I add him now, he will work in this current arc but I'm afraid in the future, he will just be overshadowed and that won't do justise for Hachiman's character! So, I have decided to leave Hachiman out of this, though maybe in future fanfics.

HEY! Wait, you readers out there can make a fanfic like that, maybe with your OCs and hikigaya, maybe someone else like yuichi and Ayanokoji ofc! I would love to read a fic like like that!

Anyway, enjoy the chapter, this one was a bit bland though..]

Yuto strolled out of the hall, checking his phone with a sigh.

[4,849,756 points]

"Great," he muttered, pocketing his phone. "Running low on points again... Guess it's time to extort some upperclassmen."

"My, my, you really shouldn't announce your criminal activities in public," came a teasing voice from behind. Yuto turned around to see a familiar blond-haired man grinning at him. "The upperclassmen might get the wrong idea about you... Kazuki Yuto."

Yuto clicked his tongue. "Like any of my future victims could do anything to stop me. I pick my targets carefully. I'm cautious, you know."

Nagumo chuckled, his smile widening. "As the new Student Council President, I'd prefer not to have a troublemaker like you in my jurisdiction." He extended his hand. "Come on, hand over your phone."

Yuto hesitated for a second, but eventually opened the QR code on his screen. Nagumo transferred over some points with a smug look on his face.

The moment the transfer was done, Yuto quickly tucked his phone away, making sure Nagumo didn't notice the total amount. 'Poor guy thinks he's doing charity work,' Yuto thought, glancing at his phone again. His internal smirk grew as he saw the new balance: +500,000 points, for nothing. Yuto's eyes widened, faking surprise as he looked back at Nagumo.

'But then again, considering he did replace Onii-chan, he might have a brain cell or two to know that I have points and is just too rich for his own good..' Yuto thought

"Well, well, Najiyo Minami-senpai," Yuto smirked. "You've got my attention now. Is there something you wanna talk about?"

Nagumo felt a vein pop in his forehead, his smile twitching. 'Did he just butcher my name?'

"Hey, brat!" one of the upperclassmen behind Nagumo barked, stepping forward. "It's Nagumo Miyabi!"

Yuto chuckled, completely unfazed. "My bad. Names just aren't my strong suit."

Nagumo chuckled along with him, though a bit more forced. "It's fine, Kazuki. Happens to the best of us. Actually, I did have something to ask you..." He trailed off, noticing Yuto eyeing his entourage with clear disdain.

Yuto sighed dramatically. "I'll answer your question, but…" He glanced at the upperclassmen like they were mold on his shoes. "I'd prefer if we talked alone. My mood's been bad lately, and pests don't really help."

"BRAT, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE—" one of the upperclassmen shouted, his face turning red, eyes bulging with fury.

Nagumo raised a hand, cutting him off. "Enough. Leave us."

The upperclassmen glared daggers at Yuto as they left, but he barely acknowledged them, waving dismissively. Once they were gone, Nagumo looked at Yuto, amused. "Better?"

Yuto grinned. "Much."

"Anyway, Kazuki-san, let's start with something light. Where exactly did you, a humble Class D student, get so much money to spend like you own the place?" Nagumo asked, leaning in with a smirk.

Yuto grinned wryly. "Didn't realize my spending habits were being tracked…" he muttered, scratching the back of his head.

Nagumo wasn't buying it, staring him down like a hawk eyeing prey. Yuto sighed in defeat. "Alright, it's no big secret. At the start of the year, I… uh, gained justice by collecting a big haul of private points." He cleared his throat, catching himself. "Then it was just miscellaneous stuff after that—like betting. For example, I wiped out the entire shogi club. They underestimated me because I'm from Class D, but… well, now they know my name." He slumped dramatically. "Can't hustle them anymore, though. They've learned their lesson."

Nagumo chuckled. "Your popularity did skyrocket, especially with how high you rank in the girls' forum polls."

Yuto's ears perked up. "Wait, girls rank us? Why am I just hearing about this now?!"

Nagumo smirked. "Seems like you've been more focused on your spending. Speaking of which, you're not saving up for the 20 million points like the other fools. Are you really that confident in your class?"

Yuto nearly spat out his lollipop, bursting into laughter. "Confident in my class? Senpai, my classmates would fight over a stick of gum! You think we're making it to Class A?!" He slapped Nagumo on the back, causing his smile to twitch. "Senpai, why would I need to aim for Class A when I've already got my future all planned out?"

Nagumo raised a brow. "Oh? You've decided your future already?"

"Yep," Yuto nodded proudly. "I'm gonna seduce some rich woman, live the rest of my life in luxury as a househusband, and take care of a cute dog. Maybe two."

Nagumo blinked before erupting into laughter. "That's… quite the plan. Ambitious, I must say."

Yuto shrugged. "I like to aim high."

Nagumo calmed himself and leaned in, lowering his voice. "Okay, one last question. I've noticed Horikita-senpai seems to hold you in high regard. But as far as I know, he's never offered you a spot on the student council. Any idea why? I find it odd, considering his respect for you."

Yuto raised an eyebrow, giving Nagumo a look as if he'd asked the dumbest question in existence. "Uh… Onii-chan knows me well enough to understand that I have zero interest in joining the student council. Why would he waste time asking?"

"Onii-chan?" Nagumo echoed, looking confused. "You seem to call him that a lot. Do you two have some kind of familial bond?"

"Nope." Yuto flashed a grin.

Nagumo blinked. "Then why do you call him 'Onii-chan?'"

Yuto chuckled. "Well, I used to like his sister, so I started calling him Onii-chan. Even though I'm over her now, it just feels weird to call him 'Horikita-senpai' after all this time. Plus, to be honest… my feelings for her aren't completely sorted yet."

Nagumo gave Yuto a pitying pat on the shoulder. "Ah, I see. Well, since you've answer most of my questions, let me give you some advice." His expression turned serious. "Women are complicated, Kazuki. Logic monsters like you and me can't always figure them out. I've dealt with a certain white-haired girl in my year, and let's just say… looks can be deceiving."

Yuto gasped dramatically. "Oh, I know that type! There's this loli I know, and let me tell you—her cute face is the last thing you'd picture when thinking of a devil's incarnate!"

Nagumo burst out laughing, clapping Yuto on the back. "Well, as long as you know the dangers!"
