Kiyomi Liuli shoveled down a bowl of rice, which finally eased the burning sensation in her mouth, but her lips were ringed with red. Her skin was super smooth to begin with, and the level of spice, far beyond her usual tolerance, seemed to be more than her lips could handle.
Nanahara Takeshi watched the commotion from the kitchen for a while, silently amused, then came out pretending to be nonchalant and handed her a bowl of room-temperature boiled water with a smile, "If you really want to eat spicy food, just dip it to lessen the heat. Don't eat yourself into trouble and tarnish my reputation."
"I don't need it," said Kiyomi Liuli firmly, even though her mouth was swollen. But, her stubbornness was counteracted by the softness of her hands as she took the drink and placed it in front of herself, murmuring quietly, "Thank you, today's cooking... was a bit salty, I can dip it to make it milder."
