Chapter 56: Settling Scores With Fire

Torque realized he received fatal blows, and his vital organs were punctured. His vision was blurring, and his ears were ringing the death knell. However, the stranger’s words came through to him clearly.

Torque had seen with utter astonishment how Tyler moved with unnatural speed and fought with superhuman strength. He even watched him stop a bullet with his bare hands. How was that possible?

The hulk had principles he was determined to follow until his last moments. One of them was never to kneel to any man. However, the stranger demanding his fealty was no man. He was a god.

With a thundering groan, Torque heaved himself up with his hands and went up on one knee. Blood pooled out of his wounds, forming crimson puddles. However, the hulk spoke a few words with his last ounce of energy.

“My name… TORQUE… Swear… My allegiance.”

Even though Torque was about to die, he felt serving an extraordinary man during his last moments would be a privilege.
