EMILY'S POV.

I couldn't believe my ears. Derella was gay? She… she liked girls? Like… she really liked girls instead of boys?

Woah, that was mind-blowing. Really mind-blowing. One was being bullied continuously, and another was gay. Were there more secrets that their seemingly perfect family held?

"I've known it ever since I realized I loved being with Katie out of everyone I know. She's just… I don't know… really mysterious. She's pretty, sweet, has a nice voice, and is completely dependable." She said, with a smile, as she looked down at her hands.

"Was that why you didn't want Derel to involve her with Vanessa?" I asked, and she nodded.

"Well, she's involved now. They're talking about a proper restraining order, since Vanessa caught him in the boys bathroom, and refused to leave him. You know… Derel's just all mouth. He can't win a fight against a six-year-old."

"He's that bad?" I asked, looking at Derel.
