Chapter 7: Life foundation
Natasha walked down the familiar path until she reached a row of fences. She pulled out her tablet and successfully manipulated the security camera to create a continuous loop in the video feed.
"The number of employees has been raised," Natasha thought to herself while watching the video footage.
"Well, it's understandable when you consider the situation. There were actually two security breaches, resulting in the loss of two symbiotes.
however you don't have to worry, you successfully infiltrated once, you can do it again. Additionally, with my camouflage, it will be easier for you to navigate " Lex replied to Natasha.
" Okay, Let me test your camouflage capability"
"Anything you desire, m'lady." He spoke with a smirk on his face.
As she walked forward, she noticed her clothes stretching, and before she could say anything, she realized her outfit had changed.
Before leaving the house, Lex changed into a tight blue jeans, a white blouse, and a black leather jacket, which highlighted her curves.
Now, she is dressed in a tight black leather outfit with red stripes and a hood, along with a mask that conceals her face.
"What do you think about this outfit? It not only makes it easier for you to move but also covers your face."
"It's not bad, it's more comfortable than what I usually wear."
Once he confirmed that she liked the outfit he designed for her, he started to blend in with his surroundings.
They quietly and carefully went into the building. As they made their way to the experiment lab, they were unable to find the last symbiote.
" It looks like they have relocated it to a different place."
"No worries, I'll check to see where they might have hidden it,"
He reached out with his tentacle towards one of the computers and started hacking into the company's system.
She asked what he was doing when she saw his strange actions
He talk about being able to physically enter the Internet on a molecular level and move between hard-wired computers, essentially being able to hack into anything.
"Your ability to do this will make our work much more convenient" she remarks as she watches him. Although she can also hack into systems, sometimes she finds it troublesome to infiltrate some networks
"I found them in the basement of the building, and they are tightly guarding the entrance."
He told her while showing her the footage, but neither of them cared about the number of security guards stationed there.
Reaching the entrance of the basement, she slid on the floor and kicked one of the guards in the leg to make him lose balance and fall. Before he could react, she knocked him unconscious. At the same time, the other guard was trying to report the intrusion when suddenly tentacles appeared in front of him. The tentacles took his gun and radio, briefly stunning him, but it was all that lex neaded to make him unable to move .
"We need to deal with the security guards inside before they notice anything unusual, once we handle the security guards inside, the other staff members won't be an issue anymore." she mentioned after confirming that the guards were knocked out.
She opened the door and swiftly approached the guards. Despite her speed, the guards managed to react and began shooting. However, their bullets had no effect on her as she moved between them effortlessly, almost like a ghost. With Lex's help, she immobilized them in a matter of seconds.
At the opposite end, in the area where the scientists were studying the final symbiote, Drake couldn't hide his surprise as he heard the sound of gunshots and shouting. The expression on his face changed immediately. However, the noises ceased suddenly, only for him to detect footsteps approaching their location. Despite feeling scared, he mustered enough bravery to speak out loudly and start questioning.
"who are you ? what do you want ?"
She ignored him and continued walking until she arrived at the entrance of the experimental room.
Upon opening the door, she found herself face to face with a container holding a yellowish symbiote. Carefully opening the container, she extended her hand towards it.
Upon witnessing her actions, Drake and the rest instinctively take a step back , only to be left dumbfounded by what they witnessed.
Not wasting a moment, Lex seized the opportunity to consume the weakened symbiote.
After enduring 24 hours a day of experimentation, the unfortunate symbiote had become so feeble that it offered little resistance to being devoured.
"What do you plan to do with these people ? " He asked as he sensed his power increasing slightly.
"I will notify the shield so they can decide. We should leave this place immediately. "
Upon hearing her determined voice , he knew he couldn't persuade her to change her decision. However, listening to her opinion doesn't mean that no action will be taken. He secretly separated a part of his body without Natasha or anyone else knowing, then attached himself to Drake. Drake, unaware of something entering his body, suddenly regained his senses and started shouting.
" What did you do? You have just ruined the future of humanity. "
"you do not have the rights to make a decision on behalf of humanity"
Before leaving, she spoke to him briefly and didn't pay much attention to him or anyone else.
As she exited the building and approached her car, she inquired, "Do you have any idea where the RIOT is?"
She wanted to finish all them before heading off on her much needed break .
"He is approaching closer. By the end of today, he is able to reach the city."
" I hope he doesn't complicate things. I would prefer to avoid causing a scene. "
