Chapter 122: Square One

Liu Xinyu stopped another taxi and asked to go to Fengxi village. This time, the taxi driver knew exactly where she wanted to go and did not need any more instructions. It took over half an hour for her to reach the Fengxi village.

"We are almost there," informed the taxi driver. "Do you want me to drop you off at the head of the village or do you know which family you are going to?"

Liu Xinyu looked at the group of old people sitting under the big banyan tree at the entrance of the village. From her experience, she knew that this group of aunties and uncles was her target group because they knew all the gossip around the village. She asked him to drop her off right here.

"Uncle, can you wait here for me?" inquired Liu Xinyu before getting out of the taxi.

"For how long?" asked the taxi driver as he also knew that she wouldn't be finding a taxi back from here. And the only way back would be the bus that'd be coming in the evening.
