Chapter 5: 47. A Theft 

After a sumptuous dinner that was bound to heal Kavius and Brownie's malnutrition, the three retreated into the big tent. It was good enough for two men and a donkey, complete with two sleeping bags.

As they lay down and rested, finding an opportunity, Hunter decided to ask about healing potions and their kind. He had already looked inside the magic book, and there was nothing that could help Annie's condition.

"Hey, Kavius, you ever heard of any kinda magical medicine that can fix problems with the brain?" Hunter asked.

Kavius' head flung to the side. "What happened to your brain?"

Unable to share his reasons, Hunter gave another one. "I think my soul's gettin' corrupted, or maybe my mind. You remember what went down at the Xeldan Brotherhood, right?"

"Medicine for that? Wasn't that just our family's legendary Berserker ability?" Kavius asked in confusion.
