Chapter 388: 388: The fox bride

"It would be better if you leave cooking up to me from now on, Princess. Please sit back and enjoy eating what I prepare. I have much more experience than you in cooking, after all."

Sui reassured the princess with a forced smile. However, beneath her cheerful facade, she sensed the princess's discontent at the prospect of relinquishing control over her meals.

That unhappy expression made Sui smile a little, but she did not say anything that could come off as condescending.

Once the dinner was done, it was time to move again. 

Princess Yunjin kindly offered to take the first watch, allowing Sui to rest through the night. However, Sui had a different plan in mind.

Since she had already slept during the day, it was her time to keep the guard.

Princess Yunjin disagreed, but she did not argue very hard.

The night was filled with peace. Sui could look at the stars and think about what she wanted to do next.
