Chapter 178: Strange Dream

Bel waved Davien out of her room. There wasn't any reason for him to stay any longer, and the lights had been turned off for a while now. She thought he seemed a bit cold towards the latter part of their conversation, and he didn't leave the dining table even after Giselle cleared the dishes even though she moved to the couch. 

She didn't want to think too much about it. There was no reason to—distance wasn't good, and they didn't have any issues. She had tried her best to be polite, and it hadn't been so hard to do since Davien had been very easy to talk to, and she ended up speaking more about herself.

Giselle's knock roused her from her thoughts, and Bel got off the couch to get ready for bed. Bel had been getting a good amount of sleep. She hated that the best sleep she had gotten was still the night she slept in Davien's bed, but at least she could fall asleep in her own bed now.
