Chapter 103: Questions

"Yeah, it is," Davien replied.

Bel heard a loud noise from Stelian as the horses started to move. The carriage wobbled a little but quickly steadied.

"What?" she asked, squinting at the light orb outside the carriage window. "How is that even possible? Just how much magic is used to power it? Vampires can't use magic," Bel rambled, her mouth barely keeping up with the influx of thoughts as she tried to figure it out.

"Ironic, considering we are very susceptible to magic. I don't know the details," Davien said. "It's been here since before I was born."

Bel's expression changed. "Do you also use the humans here as some magic power source to power up the light orb?"
