Chapter 78: Darkness and then Light

The sun had only just peeked out of the mountains when they made it to the tunnel, but instead of a tunnel, it was more like going inside a cave. The cave was carefully hidden in the forest with trees directly in front of it. However, it was large enough that once you got close enough, you could see it, though it still looked more like a cave than a path to an underground kingdom.

Bel braced herself as Stelian went through the space. Davien had already gone ahead. The instant it seemed like they wouldn't make it to the cave before dawn, he had picked up the pace and sped up with Brian without saying a word to her. Stelian had been the one to explain the situation, and she had appreciated that. Now, they were at the cave.
