Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Prelude to wizard City

Cant promise a chapter later. Honestly it was supposed to be 1 chapter a day but I always end up posting two at a time.

"I am Rufus the Bold," the first introduced. He wore a robe that covered his entire body, adorned with different color elements—fire, metal, even what seemed to be darkness and light rotating around each other in a yin-yang-like pattern.

"And I am Ned the Grand," the second introduced. His robe resembled Rufus's but instead of different elements, it was adorned with stars, resembling a particularly beautiful sky.

"We come bearing an invitation from our Grand Master Wizard in hopes you would consider becoming the location for our soon-to-be wizard city," Rufus's words were short and clear, his old voice reminiscent of the old librarian in my past life. He spoke the reason for their arrival here, but that still didn't explain one thing.

*How did you become council members?"* This question puzzled me the most. I knew for sure that one had to have at least 1,000 people to even be allowed to sit in here, so the fact that these mages had that many followers left me quite confused. So, I simply asked the two old-looking wizards.

"Oh, simple. We were advisors of the settlements we previously resided in, and when we accepted the invitation to follow the current Grand Mage, we accepted. But before we left, we killed the leader. He was like many others, foolishly spouting nonsense like 'vampires not being real' or 'we can protect ourselves'—something we knew better than to believe. So, after getting rid of him, we planned to bring the people here and head over to the site of Wizard City. However, before we could leave, we received a message from the Grand Mage telling us to invite you to come for a visit," Ned explained simply and straightforwardly.

His explanation surprised me slightly. The fact that they promptly killed the previous leader with no care or thought of remorse showed on his face. However, I soon stopped caring, as these men had saved the people from certain death at the hands of the vampires.

I was also happy as The chance to learn more magic other than ice made me quite excited but I was also slight amazed how early wizard City or the soon to be wizard city appeared in the timeline but I wasn't upset more overjoyed if anything as that meant I had a chance to learn and master more forms of magic.

*I will happily accept but please tell the grand mage that I will only be able to visit after I deal with the vampires* Ned and Rufus nodded as they bid me farewell before simply before disappearing from thin air clearly using some kind of space magic as they did so only increasing my excitement for when Im able to go there and learn but that soon died down as I focused on something more important matter of the vampires
