Chapter 59: Chapter 59: A New Summoned Character

Then, Wu Chen fell asleep.

Under the combined effects of the anti-fatigue potion and his injuries, Wu Chen couldn't resist the drowsiness and fell asleep directly. The next morning, feeling refreshed and energized, he continued with what he hadn't finished the previous night.

Opening the system mall, Wu Chen began to contemplate the level of need he had for the four items in the store.

Weapons? Not necessary. Both Minato and Madara had sufficient weapons. With Minato wielding his own weaponry and Madara having the Uchiha Clan's Folding Fan, there was no need for any more. Therefore, the option for **Weapon Forging/Repair** was ruled out.

Summoned characters? Yes, that could be useful. However, it couldn't be someone already summoned by Madara. As that summon was already determined to be Rin Nohara, Wu Chen received a prompt from the system: each player could only summon one person they had a close relationship with. Once summoned, they couldn't be summoned again unless the summon card was damaged. So, the only option was to summon one of Minato's close associates, such as his wife, Kushina Uzumaki, his son, Naruto Uzumaki, his disciple, Kakashi Hatake, or his sensei, Jiraiya. All of these were viable options for summoning. However, Naruto might be in his childhood state, rendering him less effective. Yet, the other three would be quite useful. At least more so than Rin Nohara. Although Rin knew some medical ninjutsu, her skills were average. Furthermore, when Wu Chen shook hands and conversed with Rin while disguised as Madara, he discovered that she didn't possess the Three-Tails within her. Thus, among the available options for summoning, Rin was the weakest. However, strength wasn't the only consideration; usefulness was equally important. Rin would serve the purpose of chatting and comforting Madara, boosting his gameplay progress. Therefore, Wu Chen decided to summon Rin, not for her strength, but for her importance to Madara. From this perspective, Rin was quite formidable indeed. After all, the other potential summonable characters were either dispensable or could potentially be utilized or eliminated. As Madara's summoned character was already determined, Wu Chen didn't dwell too much on this matter. Because summoning a character was random and couldn't be chosen, any of them could appear. So, setting aside $1.1 million as summoning funds was sufficient.

Next up, the **Interdimensional Random Treasure Box**? That could be useful too. Wu Chen was now able to establish a connection with Tony Stark thanks to the food-related items he obtained from the Interdimensional Random Treasure Box. Otherwise, how could he possibly have interacted with the renowned Iron Man and even developed a somewhat friendly relationship? And the reason for wanting to establish contact with Tony Stark was obvious; Wu Chen wanted to receive commissions from him to gain gameplay progress. Wu Chen hadn't forgotten that completing missions and receiving commissions from superheroes yielded significantly more gameplay progress than from ordinary people. As for how to utilize this relationship when the time came? It was simple; by introducing someone to Tony. For example, Wu Chen could tell Tony that he had encountered someone who could heal his injuries, and out of concern for his friend, he recommended Tony to give it a try. Although Tony Stark was sharp-tongued and sarcastic, he was generally generous to those he approved of. However, Wu Chen was still a bit short, so he needed to continue working hard! Perhaps not long from now, Wu Chen, the Chinese youth selling hamburgers, would become Tony Stark's true friend. Then, when Iron Man 2's plot unfolded, and Tony was deeply poisoned, conventional medical treatments were ineffective. But Wu Chen would bring the lifesaving straw. This move would not only earn him gameplay progress but also increase Tony's goodwill towards him. A sure win! As for whether the person Wu Chen introduced had the ability to cure Tony? Conventional medical treatments couldn't cure Tony's symptoms, but medical ninjutsu or medical supplies from other worlds might be able to. Many villains in Konoha or other organizations were proficient in medical ninjutsu. Even if it wasn't possible to draw a player proficient in medical ninjutsu later on, other world's medical supplies could be obtained using a Wish Card or the Interdimensional Random Treasure Box, which should be able to cure Tony Stark. Therefore, the **Interdimensional Random Treasure Box** was worth a try. As for the **Wish Card**, that was self-explanatory; it was highly effective within a limited scope, so Wu Chen naturally wouldn't exclude it. After much consideration, Wu Chen decided to summon one of Minato's close associates and leave other matters for later. So, he spent $100,000 to refresh the summoning card, then switched to playing as Minato, and clicked on the option to exchange for a summoning card.

[-$1 million]

Swish! A blue card with no markings appeared in Wu Chen's hand.
