Chapter 6: 13th Birthday Banquet (2)
"I'm alright, I'm fine. Sorry, Ms. Black." I bow. I was about to leave, but she grabs my arm.
"What's the rush?" she asked.
"I'll just going to have a break, Ms. Black. I'm not really used to crowded places." I'm about to shit myself here, please just let me go! I'm screaming inside.
"Oh, is that it? Do you want to go to the garden with me? It's quiet there. We can have a drink and just chat a little. How about it?" she said with a smile.
Crap, why now! I can't just say that I'm about to shit myself, and I can't just reject the duchy proposal. Silverfall's reputation is at stake here.
"Sure, Miss Black, let me lead the way." I can still manage 2-3 minutes, I guess. Please, Kamisama, don't abandon your loyal follower, at least for now.
I gesture with my hands to put hers, and we walk together towards the garden. After arriving, we stop in a quiet place. I look at her. Damn, why is she looking at me like that? In-game, she never showed interest in a guy. The only one she was interested in is the main character, Elliot. In-game, it never said why she got interested in him. So why is she looking at me like that? Did I do something I shouldn't have? Crap, I should be more careful while supporting characters are around.
"So, Ms. Black, what do you want to talk about?" I said, sweating.
"Oh, I just want to ask if you're interested in having a fiancé. You're already 13, noble guys at your age should already have one," she said, looking at me as if she were going to devour me.
"I'm not into that kind of stuff for now, Ms. Black. Maybe after I graduate from the academy. For now, I'm just looking for a way to repay the kindness of Ms. Corrine Starfall."
"Is that so? Then, can you consider me to be your fiancée? If you marry me, you can help the Starfalls have a good connection to a Duke. Black, how about it? I'm already in my 30s, but I'm confident with my strength and appearance. How's that?"
"Or am I too old for your taste?" she said, faking tears.
"Not at all, Ms. Black. Actually, your type of woman I like." Of course, I'm not lying. I really like strong girls with a masculine build.
"Fufu, is that so? Then you'll consider it? It's just a fiancé, after all. I'm not in a rush," she said, smiling viciously.
"Yes, but it will take time, Miss Black," I said, faking a smile. Crap, did I overdo it again? Sometimes I can't stop saying things in my mind. I don't know why I'm not like this in my previous life. What's happening to me? After that, we chat a little.
"You're quite an interesting boy, Cale. You're young and mature at the same time. I'm liking you even more," she said with a mischievous smile.
"Is that so, Ms. Black? It's my honor," I said with a bow.
"Fufufu, then I'll take my leave now. We'll meet again soon."
'Please don't,' I said to myself.
She turned around and walked away. After I saw that she was far enough, I ran as fast as I could. Crap, crap, crap, I'm about! Luckily, I arrived in time. I'm crapping for a whole 30 minutes. After that, I spray some perfume and walk back to the banquet to meet Katherine and Sofia again. But there are only a few guests left. I walk towards the ones leaving and bid farewell to them. After that hellish day, it's finally over. After that, I'm about to change my clothes, but someone knocks on the door.
"Young Master Cale, Lady Corrine and Young Lady Katherine said they wanted to meet you," Lilith said on the other side of the door.
"I'm coming." After that, I open the door and follow Lilith to where Corrine and Katherine are. After walking, we finally arrive. I see Corrine holding boxes, looking like presents, and the same for Katherine.
"Happy birthday, Cale!"
"Happy birthday, my sweet Cale!"
The two of them said at the same time.
I don't know what I'm feeling right now. I'm happy it's seems like it. I remember when I'm still young at 15 years old in my previous life, my mom and dad passed away. I'm the only child. In the funeral, a lot of my relatives wanted to take me in, but I knew that the only thing they wanted was my mom and dad's money left for me. So, I refused. From that day on, I lived alone in a small empty house. After finishing high school, the money that my mom and dad left was not enough. So, I worked as a café waiter. The only thing I want to say is that I want to feel the family love again. And now, I just realized that I finally have Grandpa kagamine, Miyuki kagamine, and now Corrine and Katherine. From now on, I'll do my best to protect them. But first, I need to get stronger to defeat the future threats like the devil god worshipper. For now, I need to get stronger. Interrupting me with my thoughts is the question of three of them.
