Chapter 99: Spendthrift Dad

Upon seeing the bracelet, the auctioneer's eyebrows twitched. They had never seen something so cheap here before. Even if they felt disdain in their hearts, they maintained a smile on their face.

"The next item up for auction is a jade bracelet worn by Mrs. Ye," the auctioneer announced enthusiastically. After a pause, he revealed the reserve price set by the Ye family. "The starting price is... one cent."

One cent?!

The whole venue erupted in commotion. Everyone looked at each other, puzzled by what was happening. Although the starting price didn't reflect the final price, starting at one cent was simply embarrassing. It was as if they were openly showing their contempt, willing to let someone take it away for a few cents.

"Where did Mrs. Ye from the Ye family come from?" someone wondered.

Wasn't Ye Lingran from the Ye family still unmarried?
