Chapter 187: In the House of The Dead

Ren woke up to the soft chime of his alarm. His eyes fluttered open to the dim darkness that enveloped his room. Winter, like a possessive lover, had begun to hide the warm sunlight within its frigid embrace, making it nearly impossible for the usual morning brightness to reach through.

He shivered slightly, pulling his blankets tighter around him before mustering the will to sit up. Today was the day he would be free from the exams and also the day to unleash Benzo's hidden facade.

"Another day, another show," Ren muttered to himself, reluctantly throwing off the covers and stepping onto the cold floor. If it was not for the inner heating system, he was sure that the floor would be freezing cold.

He splashed water on his face to finally make him awake. While he was brushing, his thoughts drifted to the cub who was still softly snoring on his bed.
