Chapter 169: Confrontation

Ren felt a surge of panic wash over him. His fingers trembled uncontrollably as snippets of memories began to flood his mind. 

It was as if a dam had broken, and fragments of a past he didn't fully understand came rushing back. He clenched his fists, trying to steady himself, but the unease only grew.

"I-I... did I marry Wei Ling Sheng?" Ren stammered, his voice barely above a whisper, his throat tightening with every word that escaped his mouth.

Sabrina, on the other hand, seemed to revel in Ren's visible distress.

She watched him with a twisted delight, her eyes gleaming as she took in his pale face, trembling eyelashes, and the way his mouth opened and closed, struggling to form coherent words.

Ren was so overwhelmed by the sudden flood of memories that he failed to notice her similarity with Wei Ling Sheng, who also took morbid pleasure in his suffering and was delighted at his troubled state.
