Chapter 144: A Real-Life Fighting Scene

Ren and Terim were about to walk out of the food court after eating their fill when a passerby shoved Ren violently.

"Ren!" the cub's frantic voice rang out, piercing his ears.

Ren was about to brush it off, planning to make a joke about his system's overprotectiveness. It was just a push. No need to panic like this.

"Rion!" Terim's voice cut through the air, filled with raw terror as he bolted to his side. His eyes were wide with sheer horror.

Ren almost laughed at Terim's dramatic reaction when he stumbled over his feet. In the next moment, he was held by Terim tightly as if he would fall the next second. 

It made him sigh at the two beings that were similar to each other, getting so scared over his well-being. 

"I am fine... probably," Ren managed to mutter the last word as he felt a warm liquid spreading over his right abdomen.
