Naruto and Kimimaro arrived in the guild city as night was covering the sky, and they took one of the rooms in a hidden place. Naruto laid Akame down on one of the beds while the others settled in.
"Tomorrow we'll go to the guild, for now let's rest," Naruto said, and Kimimaro nodded and they went to sleep.
The next morning, Naruto felt someone hugging him while he was asleep, not stopping the person from getting closer after sensing them with the observation haki. He felt pleasantly suffocated as the person himself did not seem to want to let him go.
"I thought you had died," Naruto woke up to the girl saying in a tearful tone. "I thought I had lost you too," she spoke. Akame was unmasked and Naruto ended up taking off his own, not caring who might see them, and touched the girl's back at that moment.
"It's okay." He said in a more affectionate tone than he usually would.
"Don't disappear like that again..." She murmured softly while the rest of the room watched the scene in silence.
"Anyway, I see you've found new strength," he said to her, and she looked at him confused.
'It seems she still doesn't know...' Naruto murmured, he saw her eyes change to a new type of sharingan before passing out, but since she didn't insist on it, he didn't say anything more about it.
"Let's get ready to go to the guild." Naruto announced as he let go of Akame.
Karen was watching Naruto all the time and Kimimaro stayed silent. After Naruto gave the order, they began to get ready while he went back to Akame, "Make a clone and stay with Karin, let's go to the guild," Naruto said, and they started to leave the place for the middle of the city.
They arrived at the place and it seemed to be all common at first, but Naruto felt a different atmosphere within the guild, it was more hostile as they received hidden glances.
'How strange...' Ignoring this fact, he continues going with the group to the counter where there was the bartender who was always cleaning glasses. "Light," the bartender greeted him. "You didn't seem to take long on your S-level mission..." he showed interest.
"We had some problems, but we are here and our target... here." Naruto showed the scroll to give to the man, but he refused.
"That's great. Actually, I would check that. However, the employer of the mission was here personally last night. He wants to meet you as soon as you finish your mission. We don't usually do this, but he insisted and would like to talk to you. We see no problem with it, so we came to ask."
"Is the employer someone from Konoha?" Naruto asked, curious.
"Naturally, as the mission you accepted is from the village, they sent someone," the bartender spoke.
"I see..." Naruto pondered while his group waited for his response, "Alright, let's see this mysterious person..." He said, thinking that his father had already connected the dots with him being Light from the bingo book.
"Just come back tomorrow, there's something very interesting that I'm sure you won't want to miss." He suddenly said.
"What would that be?" Naruto asked, despite the man's calm tone, his haki spoke otherwise.
"That's a secret for now so we'll meet here tomorrow to talk to this employer." He said and Naruto nodded.
They left the guild shortly after with the scroll with Danzou's head for the employer to confirm personally, and went to their room to pick up Karin, he had indicated meeting the employer at the end of the afternoon outside the city.
"Naruto... did you feel something wrong?" Kimimaro asked and Akame also nodded knowing something was wrong with the guild today.
"Yes, they are hostile towards us for some reason..." Naruto commented and knew it was not because they had killed a former elder of Konoha.
"Should we be worried?" Akame asked.
"Yes." Naruto did not lie, as they approached the place. "It's very likely that someone put our head on a mission and it seems someone quite important even for the guild owner to lead us into a trap," Naruto said.
"What, a trap?!" Akame was enraged behind her mask.
"Yes, I wouldn't recommend you guys coming with me, but I know you will be safer with me, let's just be alert to any attack in the dark." Naruto warned them, he was going into the trap even knowing about it, after all he wanted to know why someone had put a premium on his head.
After arriving at the location while Akame's clones were still taking care of Karin, he asked the girl to get ready, since they would have a man from Konoha here, he might as well take her to her parents.
They got ready and finally went to meet the Konoha agent after a few hours, landing in a clearing at the site, while Dragon, Bones, and Light wore masks to hide their faces, Karin wore a cloak hiding her hair.
Everything seemed calm for a while as Naruto kept his face in one place. "Is he going to take much longer?" Kimimaro couldn't help but comment.
"He's already here... the whole time," Naruto spoke, surprising them and wondering where the person himself was. But Naruto pointed to a side of the clearing where there was a frog there, standing watching them.
"A frog?!" Akame was surprised by this.
"Yes, he's inside that animal, isn't he, Jiraiya." Naruto spoke and the frog immediately opened its mouth, revealing a man coming out of it.
"How disgusting..." Akame and Karin commented as Jiraiya emerged.
"Well well, it seems you really have good instincts... Naruto Namikaze," Jiraiya spoke to Light, and Naruto wasn't surprised by this at all.
"Is this the ninja from Konoha... he recognized you?" Kimimaro frowned.
"It's fine, it's no surprise he knows about us, Tsunade told him, didn't she?" Naruto asked.
"You're right... she told us about having met someone special, you know how your father was surprised when he learned that his son was actually someone he never suspected or even knowing about your strange abilities..." Jiraiya spoke with a more serious tone now approaching Naruto.
"It doesn't matter now," Naruto gave his answer, he still hadn't finished his work to see his family, no, he was just beginning.
"I don't understand your motivations or why hide these strange abilities, were you the one who massacred all those Root ninjas on the day of the Uchiha massacre, weren't you? And this girl with you is Akame Uchiha, a girl who disappeared." He said, and Akame did not like that at all.
"Hm? 3 tomoe sharingan...? Hm? What are these eyes?!" Jiraiya was surprised by Akame's developed sharingan, many children had released their sharingan the night they saw their relatives dying on the night of the massacre, but no one could have more than 1 tomoe at Akame's age, and seeing 3 of them in a girl who is 11 years old was frightening, but to see her eyes change between the holes of the mask to a completely different form left him stunned.
"Akame, calm down," Naruto requested, after all she was activating her new eyes unconsciously.
"It's okay..." Akame calmed down, returning to her black eyes after deactivating the sharingan.
"Jiraiya, we're not here to talk about my past, what do you want, we have Danzou's body or at least his head," Naruto spoke.
"So you really did kill Danzou on an S-rank mission..." Jiraiya murmured and turned back to Naruto.
"I know you don't seem to be talking about the past, but your parents are worried about you, you simply left the village from one hour to the next... What do you plan, Naruto?" Jiraiya still insisted, he wanted to know the motivations that led this boy to hide his strength under everyone's nose.
"I intend to do something that goes against the ninja system, it's obvious that Konoha can be an enemy in the future, so I prefer to stay independent," Naruto spoke, after all the system will never let Naruto act against it, there is a great chance of Konoha becoming his enemy too.
"Going against the shinobi system...?" Jiraiya was even more surprised than having seen Akame's mangekyou sharingan, even though he didn't know what that was, what Naruto was talking about was about a revolution in the ninja world.
"It doesn't matter now, I don't plan on returning to Konoha not for a long time," Naruto spoke.
"But..." Jiraiya was going to insist, but Naruto simply grabbed the scroll and tossed it to Jiraiya, "Danzou's head is inside the scroll, I hope you pay what was agreed," Naruto spoke, wanting to end the conversation about his family.
"..." Jiraiya didn't know what to say about this boy.
"But one thing." Naruto spoke up again and pointed to Karin.
"Hm?" Jiraiya looked confused.
"This is Karin Uzumaki, taken from the Land of Sound by us while we were looking for Danzou. I'd like you to take her to Konoha, so my mother can take care of her," Naruto requested.
"An Uzumaki...?" Jiraiya looked at the hooded girl and saw her red hair inside the hood.
"I see... I will do that." Jiraiya had no reason to refuse. "I will insist one more time, Naruto, can't you even come back to see your family just once? Your mother has suffered a lot with your disappearance," Jiraiya said.
"I understand..." Naruto could not deny that it was a bad feeling to hurt that woman, who always loved him. "I'll come back as soon as I can to see them, so don't worry about that," Naruto spoke, after all, he had plans to return to Konoha one day.
"Alright... I won't insist further, then I'm leaving..." Jiraiya said, after all, his mission was to identify Naruto and try to talk to him, and having done both, it was time to return to Konoha.
"You're going with him, you're safe," Naruto told Karin, who looked quite hesitant about this... But she accepted and went up to Jiraiya, who climbed on his back and before leaving, Jiraiya gave one last look at Naruto, without Naruto knowing what he was thinking. Then he shot off among the trees heading out of the country.
Jiraiya would check the body in an autopsy in Konoha and they would receive the payment shortly after.
"Are you okay, Naruto?" Akame asked and Naruto nodded.
"Yes, I can't help but think a little about my family with this, but I'm fine," Naruto said and looked at Akame.
"How are you feeling, did you feel anything when you activated your eye?" He asked and she nodded cautiously.
"Yes... but it was strange, it felt like my eye was stronger... something happened to me, didn't it?" She asked and Naruto nodded.
"Yes, we'll talk about this later, now let's rest, after all, tomorrow we'll see what the guild has in store for us," Naruto said, and he, Akame, and Kimimaro returned to the city.
