It had been two years since Kimimaro had been cured. Naruto, despite not knowing much about the village's politics in depth, was aware of some emerging changes. First, since the elders had conspired against the Uchihas, they had lost so much power that they no longer participated in village decisions and almost were executed along with the Uchihas seeking justice for what happened. However, the coup that the Uchihas had planned was used as counterarguments, and their execution did not occur, only with a death request for Danzou.
His father, Minato Namikaze, continued to be an excellent Kage during times of peace, with the village thriving on the economy of local trade and ninja missions that many people from within and even outside requested from Konoha as the best nation on the continent.
His mother, as always, was in charge of the village's barriers, monitoring any threat or intruder that entered and left the place. His parents together played a significant role in the functioning of the village, and everyone in Konoha respected them for it.
Naruto's sisters were the darlings of the village and continued to be so as they showcased their astounding talents. The ninjas claimed they would become even stronger than Kushina and, if they became perfect jinchuurikis, would surpass the Hokage one day and be the pillar for this village in the future. Mizu had perfected the art of fuuinjutsu, while Sora specialized in Kenjutsu and her adamantine chains.
Naruto remained the same, always silent as his parents noticed and a loving brother to his sisters. The village people were no longer as hostile since Danzou had deserted, but there was still that certain disdain for expecting a powerful ninja like his sisters because he was the Hokage's son, not that Naruto cared about that, after all, he had always been indifferent.
Naruto knew he would not be his parents' heir, but that was better for him, after all, his days were numbered, while he lay in his bed alone at home when his parents went to work and his sisters to the academy.
Naruto turned his face to the closet next to the bed and saw a photo with his family. Mizu was always quite reserved while keeping her two hands together in front, Kushina behind her placing a hand on her head and waving at the photo with a cheerful smile, Minato beside her with a normal posture and a small closed smile, Naruto being crushed by his sister Sora, who had grabbed him by an arm around his neck while smiling in her mother's style.
'I will miss you all so much...' Naruto had this fleeting thought. After all, what he was about to do would break the heart of his entire family. However, he would be selfish enough to continue with his plans. He did not want to wait until he was older and would have to see if his family would forgive him one day. But Naruto had a sense of justice that intended to change this world or create a force against the atrocities that, even in times of peace among the five nations, atrocities were always happening. He himself had seen many of them in these last two years, perhaps not on the level of the Uchiha extermination night, but there was certainly always killing, theft, and horrible crimes happening everywhere, and many people could not even afford a ninja in a village to get justice. Of course, he tried to help whoever he could, but often he just found bodies by the road, villages burned after all sorts of heinous crimes.
'I will follow my own path from now on... I know you might even hate me for running away and lying to you, but it was certainly the best for everyone, I hope you forgive me one day, after all, I still love all of you.' Naruto spoke, letting a small melancholic tear escape from one of his eyes, still keeping his gaze on everyone in that image.
'I will no longer hold back, I will travel to all the places I can and will make my mark on this world, not just as a non-chakra user who lived his entire life without a drop of the vital force that fills all living beings and even Nature, but someone who will bring change to all nations and create a better world,' He said internally with determination.
He was no messiah and didn't consider himself one, but he certainly looked at the world and saw something wrong here. So, he made it his purpose to try to build a better world and would dedicate his life to this, even if it meant neglecting his own family.
Naruto got up from his bed; he decided to go out as usual. He didn't bother to leave through the door on the first floor and walk outside. The Anbu surely followed him as he walked. Naruto always kept his activities hidden, training with Akame, Lee, and leaving Konoha to visit Kimimaro in the south of the country.
He trained them as much as he could, trying to help them without anyone noticing their training sessions, but satisfied that all of them became great fighters with the teachings of Monkey D. Garp and the fist of love.
Naruto continued walking through the village, he went to his favorite restaurant while Ayame announced Naruto's presence as always. "Dad, Naruto is here!" She said as Naruto sat down.
"The usual, Ayame-San." Naruto said with a small smile.
"Yes, got it!" She spoke before taking the order to her father, and a few minutes later, Naruto saw Teuchi appearing with a smile and his portion of ramen.
"Here you go, kid." Teuchi placed the bowl in front of the boy as he thanked him.
"Thank you, Teuchi-San." Naruto spoke while Teuchi gave the boy a narrow look.
"What's this atmosphere... you seem so melancholic..." Teuchi commented as Naruto scratched his head.
"It's nothing, just thinking deeply." Naruto lied, after all, he was saying goodbye to everyone he could in the next few days.
Teuchi, not buying Naruto's words, let him be, returning to the kitchen.
Naruto ate his meal quietly and finished, going up to the counter. "Ayame, Teuchi, thank you for everything." Naruto announced before starting to leave with Ayame waving at him cheerfully.
"Today Naruto seemed more cheerful than usual." She said.
"That's strange... it's like he was saying goodbye to us..." Teuchi commented, and his daughter looked at him surprised.
"What do you mean by that?" She seemed shocked.
"I don't know why, but I feel like we won't be seeing Naruto for a long time..." Teuchi concluded, leaving the place in quite a gloomy atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Naruto was walking through the village, until he encountered a unique figure wearing a green jumpsuit, Guy-Sensei was walking through Konoha peacefully, until he saw Naruto. "Naruto!" He exclaimed with a smile that even reflected light.
"Guy-sensei!" Naruto smiled calmly at the man. "I heard that Lee joined your genin team." Naruto said, already knowing from Lee himself that he would be graduating soon, even stopping training with Naruto. Lee was already 12 years old, so it was time for him to become a genin.
"That's right, Naruto. I am his official sensei, together we will show the power of youth to all of Konoha!" He exclaimed, and Naruto nodded.
"That's good, where is he now?" Naruto asked.
"Lee is training with his team at training ground 3." Guy said, after training them all day with some D-rank missions, he let them keep training.
"That's good, thank you, Guy-Sensei!" Naruto said with a rare happy smile and continued on his way.
"Naruto seemed so different..." Guy also felt a certain strange feeling from the boy as he watched Naruto's back.
Naruto continued on his way. He wanted to see Lee, but certainly did not want the Anbu behind him since Lee knew his abilities.
Naruto entered an alley, finding a blind spot from the Anbu following him. As soon as the masked one moved to monitor Naruto and wonder why he was entering that place, he was stunned to find the alley empty, with Naruto disappearing in less than a second.
"Sorry about this..." Naruto murmured while he was 100 meters off the ground and began to leap through the air towards training ground 3, after all, it would be his goodbye to Lee.
He continued his way through the air until he felt Lee with his observation haki as soon as he entered his range. However, Naruto frowned as soon as he felt what was happening down below.
Lee had just fallen to the ground at that moment, while a girl witnessed the scene, a boy with white eyes saw Lee on the ground. "You really surprised me, I never imagined that a weakling like you could give me so much trouble." Neji mocked, but he certainly didn't win this fight easily, because he was injured too. If it were another time before Naruto had taught Lee to fight, Neji would have won this fight so easily that he wouldn't have received a single attack from Lee. But this version of Lee was stronger and more resilient due to the inhuman training Naruto had given him. There wasn't a day when he didn't meet Naruto and didn't get beaten until his face was swollen.
"This is nothing compared to what Naruto-San can do..." Lee murmured on the ground, having fallen about 3 times and returned to fight with Lee, leaving the Hyuuga quite surprised and even irritated by this, but still being arrogant the whole time.
Neji hadn't lost his father. Naruto's father made it clear that he would go to war if it resulted in saving a member of Konoha who just protected their family. He made it clear that Konoha would enter into war with the Cloud village, after all, Minato already had some resentment after they tried to kidnap Kushina once in his youth. However, Neji had always been a prodigy and felt arrogant around everyone.
"You fought well, but in the end, a loser is always a loser." Neji spoke while looking at Lee with mockery. Lee was a bit frustrated as Neji turned his back and walked away.
"Neji-kun..." Tenten murmured a bit lost with this fight, but somewhat admiring Neji's strength, since a good team member would result in a strong team.
"I still can..." Lee was interrupted at that moment. Because someone helped him up, Naruto appeared without anyone noticing and pulled Lee up.
"You're still quite resilient, I'm sure you could last more than a few slaps." Naruto said, crossing his arms to a dazed Lee, but soon embarrassed to hear this from Naruto.
"Sorry, I'm not used to someone hitting my chakra points." Lee commented with a sense of humor despite losing and hearing quite unpleasant things from Neji.
"That means you'll have to train much more than this, remember the body has no limit, you can reach great heights with good training." Naruto was giving his final goodbyes to Lee, after all, now the boy would be on his own.
"I guess you're right..." Lee said.
"What nonsense I'm hearing here..." The voice of Neji interrupted Naruto and Lee. Naruto had nothing against Neji beating Lee, after all, people need to get strong where the strongest prey on the weakest and a beating is also good training, but he didn't like the tone Neji was using to address his words of farewell.
"Hm?" Naruto looked at Neji with a not very pleasant gaze.
Neji, who was initially surprised by Naruto's presence there without him or Tenten noticing, soon heard their conversation and didn't miss the chance to mock. "You speak beautiful words to him as if he could change somehow, he's a loser and always will be one." Neji said with arrogance.
"What did you say?!" Lee exclaimed angrily, but Naruto put a hand in front of him.
"You shouldn't listen to him, people who think like that, who are arrogant and believe everyone is beneath them always die early." Naruto spoke, and he wasn't lying; often such people underestimate their opponents and end up defeated, and not always does defeat come with a second chance.
While Tenten was a bit surprised by Naruto's words, Neji seemed bothered and a bit dazed by them. "You talk as if you had some experience in your words." Neji mocked.
He continued. "You are Naruto Namikaze, the son of the fourth Hokage... A boy who was born, to everyone's surprise, without chakra, someone destined for ostracism. No matter how much you try to change your fate, you will always be a failure, and you define that word very well." He said.
"Neji!!" Lee shouted with some anger, seeing Naruto being insulted like that, but Naruto didn't let him leave the spot.
"Neji... you shouldn't speak like that about the Hokage's son..." Tenten murmured, afraid of the consequences.
Neji ignored them and continued to stare at Naruto mockingly, "Your father is one of the greatest ninjas to ever emerge, while you, the Hokage's son, don't even have chakra in your veins, it's even bizarre to look at a body without chakra with my byakugan." He said as he activated his eye. "Your destiny is to be even worse than Lee, so don't talk about things you can't do, loser." Neji spoke as the atmosphere became tense.
"Naruto..." Lee looked fearfully at his friend, after all, he knew what could happen.
Naruto just cracked a smile, something he never did. "Lee... Today I'll teach you a lesson, on how people with big mouths can die young." Naruto murmured, taking a few steps forward while smiling at Neji.
Neji was a bit surprised by this, not imagining that a failure would have such courage, even though his fate is to be a nobody, a shadow of his father. "What are you..." Neji was about to mock, but at that moment, he was interrupted.
Neji didn't even see when that fist was coming towards his face, and before anyone could react to it, Naruto punched his fist into the boy's face with the Byakugan activated, even sinking his hand into it. Neji just felt immense pain as his nose broke and his jaw was dislocated from the impact, with his body flying backward.
