Chapter 119: Chapter 119: The Room of Requirement

Dumbledore was efficient. When Lynn woke up in the dormitory the next day, he found that the materials he needed were already placed on his bedside table by the Hogwarts house-elves at some point.

'This old bee must have seen that it's Sunday today, and I don't have classes, so he wants to work me like crazy!' Lynn thought with a bitter smile as he picked up the materials.

After having the experience of making the alchemical glasses before, Lynn's speed in crafting the alchemical glasses was much faster compared to the previous time. He completed three pairs of alchemical glasses before the noon feast.

After the feast, Lynn finished the remaining two pairs of alchemical glasses and distributed them to Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, Professor Flitwick, Professor Sprout, and Professor Dumbledore.

However, when Lynn tried to give a pair of alchemical glasses to Dumbledore, he smiled and refused, asking Lynn to give it to Lockhart instead.

Although Lockhart didn't have much ability, he was still the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and responsible for patrolling the castle.

After delivering the alchemical glasses, Lynn found Irina.

"I've sent the five pairs of alchemical glasses that Dumbledore wanted. Now we need to make one for each of us," Lynn said to Irina, and they habitually headed towards the abandoned classroom.

But halfway there, Irina suddenly stopped and looked at Lynn, hesitating to speak.

"What's wrong?" Lynn asked, puzzled.

Irina said with some difficulty, "Well, Lynn, we always go to that abandoned classroom, and Hermione and the others have already guessed our destination. They even think I'm... with you. Why don't we change the place?"

Hearing this, Lynn couldn't help but feel amused. They were just a group of twelve-year-old kids, yet they could think of so much.

Lynn asked, "Then where do you want to go?"

Irina pondered with some distress.

Suddenly, she seemed to have an idea and her ice-blue eyes looked at Lynn. "Why don't we go to the Room of Requirement?"

The Room of Requirement?!

Lynn was taken aback.

Of course, he knew what the Room of Requirement was. It was located on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle, across from the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. When a young wizard focused and thought about the place they needed, walking past that stretch of wall three times, a special door would appear on the wall – the entrance to the Room of Requirement.

The Room of Requirement could provide any space the young wizard needed, making it an ideal place for secret meetings.

However, since coming to Hogwarts Castle, Lynn had been busy with all sorts of things and had never tried to enter the Room of Requirement.

So, when Irina mentioned the Room of Requirement, Lynn readily agreed.

The two headed towards the eighth floor of the castle, spending about ten minutes dealing with the annoying staircases. They arrived at the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy.

"I need a place to hold a meeting!" Lynn silently thought about the place he wanted to go while walking back and forth three times in front of the wall across from the tapestry.

A door appeared on the wall – a plain wooden door with a rosewood doorknob.

Lynn opened the wooden door and entered.

Inside was a meeting room, with a round table in the center and shelves around the room holding tea sets and other items.

"Wow, is this the Room of Requirement?" Irina looked around curiously, as it was her first time in the Room of Requirement too.

Lynn smiled and sat down beside the round table. With a wave of his wand, a tea set automatically jumped in front of him, and a stream of water appeared out of nowhere, pouring into the teapot.

Then, Lynn took out a tea bag from his pocket and threw it into the teapot, after which a flame suddenly rose at the bottom of the teapot.

"It's quite well-prepared," Irina said, sitting across from Lynn with her hands on her lap.

After controlling the flame to brew the tea, Lynn took out the first pair of alchemical glasses he had made.

"This pair of alchemical glasses is my initial product. The five pairs I gave to Dumbledore were also made based on this one. And according to Colin's test, it can indeed resist the Basilisk's magic."

Lynn's smile faded as he said this.

Irina said, "If that's the case, we can use these alchemical glasses to resist the Basilisk."

Lynn shook his head. "No, you have to know that our opponent is not just the Basilisk, but the diary and Tom Riddle within it. After the incident with Colin, the enemy must have realized that we have alchemical equipment that can resist the Basilisk's magic. This means they will be more cautious and may even take various measures to force us to take off the glasses before attacking us!"

Hearing this, Irina became tense. "Then what should we do? There's no such thing as being a thief forever without being caught. We can't keep ourselves on high alert every day, ensuring our glasses don't fall off..."

As Irina said, if one remained tense all the time, anyone would eventually go crazy.

Lynn lightly tapped the table with his index finger. "This is the key point of our discussion today. We need alchemical equipment like the glasses, but we need to keep it concealed."

Irina was distressed, and since she knew nothing about alchemy, she couldn't even offer Lynn any suggestions.

But just as Irina felt regretful, Lynn said, "Actually, I already have a decent solution, which is why I didn't directly make alchemical glasses for us but brought you here instead."

Irina's eyes lit up, looking at Lynn expectantly.

Lynn explained, "In fact, these alchemical glasses are not truly the final product in my eyes, but rather a sample with the same properties, like the glasses you try on at the optician's shop in our previous life, where you could switch between different lenses."

"In reality, I can use legal alchemy to fuse the alchemical glasses into another form without changing their effectiveness. As for this form, how about contact lenses?"

Lynn finally showed a smile and asked Irina.

"Leave it to you, Lynn," Irina said happily. "Contact lenses not only have the function of glasses but also have enough concealment to deceive the enemy!"

It's worth noting that although the world's first contact lenses had already been made fifty years before this timeline in the Muggle world, the wizarding world, being as stagnant as it was, had probably never heard of such a thing!
