Upon hearing this, Harry hesitated for a moment, no longer rushing out as before. Instead, he stood up and slowly followed the crowd, moving in the direction of the sound.
Irina, and the other two, exchanged a glance and also followed the crowd out of the Great Hall.
As they left the entrance hall and approached the source of the sound, everyone caught a strong scent of blood.
Immediately after, a series of gasps from the young wizards could be heard from the front of the queue.
Harry seemed to have realized something, and he pushed his way through the crowd towards the front, with Irina and the others following closely behind.
Upon reaching the front of the crowd, Harry was horrified to discover that Filch's cat, Mrs. Norris, was currently hanging upside down on a torch bracket, her eyes wide open and her body as stiff as a board.
On the wall where the torch was situated, two lines were written in blood:
The Chamber of Secrets has been opened.
Enemies of the Heir, beware!
Just as everyone was in shock, Malfoy pushed his way to the very front, wearing an arrogant and defiant expression, and sneered, "Enemies of the Heir, beware! You're next, Mudbloods!"
Upon hearing Malfoy utter that insulting term again, many people frowned, and some even drew their wands, intending to cast a spell on Malfoy.
At that moment, Filch's voice rang out, "What's going on here? What's happening?"
Filch shouldered his way through the crowd, and then he saw his beloved Mrs. Norris. He stumbled back a few steps, clutching his face in horror.
"My cat! My cat! What happened to Mrs. Norris?!" Filch shrieked.
Then, he noticed Malfoy standing at the very front of the crowd, looking every inch the arrogant pureblood.
Since Harry had returned from the Deathday Party earlier and hadn't encountered Mrs. Norris's petrified state as in the original story, Malfoy, who was standing at the front of the crowd, became the one suspected by Filch as the culprit.
"It was you! Damn Platinum Boy, you killed my cat! You killed it! I'll kill you! I'll..."
With his eyes bloodshot, Filch charged at Malfoy and grabbed him by the throat, seemingly intent on strangling him to death.
"It wasn't me! Let me go, my father's a school governor..." Malfoy struggled in panic, never having expected to be accused as the culprit.
However, Malfoy seemed to have forgotten that his earlier statement was no different from that of the actual perpetrator.
"Argus!" Just as Malfoy's eyes were rolling back from the choking, Dumbledore arrived on the scene in time. With a gentle wave of his hand, Filch was forced to step back several meters, releasing Malfoy.
"Come with me, Argus," Professor Dumbledore said to Filch, "and you too, Mr. Malfoy!"
With that, Professor Dumbledore took Filch and Malfoy away.
In the crowd, two people were in a state of confusion.
These two people were, of course, Lynn and Irina, who were familiar with the original story.
Good grief, shouldn't it have been Harry and his friends who were taken away in the plot? How did it become Malfoy this time?!
A certain girl among the Gryffindor crowd seemed to have forgotten that it was her very words that had changed the course of the story.
After Filch and Malfoy were taken away, the young wizards finally left the corridor with a sense of relief, one by one.
However, two figures quietly slipped away from the crowd, heading towards an abandoned classroom.
In the abandoned classroom that had once housed the Mirror of Erised, Lynn and Irina entered one after the other.
"What do you say? Don't tell me that Harry and the others didn't stumble upon Mrs. Norris's petrified state, and it wasn't your doing," Lynn said to Irina with a slightly indulgent tone.
Irina stuck out her tongue and spread her hands in a similarly helpless gesture. "I couldn't help it. Harry invited us to attend Nearly Headless Nick's Deathday Party! You know that place is no place for people to stay. I just advised them not to go. You can't blame me!"
Lynn shook his head with a light laugh. "Never mind, although the course of the story has changed, it's not without remedy. Besides, Harry is Dumbledore's savior, not ours. We don't necessarily have to rely on Harry for everything."
"Lynn, what do you plan to do?" Irina asked.
Lynn took out a round mirror from his pocket and handed it to Irina. "This is a two-way mirror I made. From now on, you can use it to stay in touch with me at any time! Besides, I've added a recording function to this two-way mirror. You can use the small mirror lens on the back to record images by infusing it with magic. It might come in handy later!"
Irina received the special two-way mirror as if it were a treasure.
Lynn continued, "Next, you can indirectly reveal information about the Chamber of Secrets to Harry and the others. Also, Voldemort's diary should be with Ginny Weasley now. Can you try to get it?"
Irina pondered for a moment and said, "I'll try my best, but without a legitimate reason, it will be difficult for me to directly take the diary from Ginny."
"Then find an opportunity to steal it," Lynn said. "Do you know the Disillusionment Charm?"
Irina shook her head honestly.
Lynn beckoned with his hand, drew his wand from his waist, and said, "Come, I'll teach you."
Irina obediently walked over, and Lynn tapped her head with his wand.
Irina felt a cold liquid flow from where Lynn's wand had tapped, gradually spreading over her entire body. To her amazement, her form became completely invisible, as if she had donned an Invisibility Cloak.
However, Lynn soon waved his wand again, removing the Disillusionment Charm from Irina.
"Remember this feeling," Lynn said, explaining the incantation and casting technique for the Disillusionment Charm to Irina.
Irina tried reciting the incantation, holding her wand to her head.
The familiar sensation arose from her head, but the cold liquid seemed to have not spread over her body as before. Instead, it formed streams flowing down, like water poured onto a conical barrier.
Standing in front of Irina, Lynn couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Irina's body, under the effect of the Disillusionment Charm, had turned into streaks, with her flesh and some organs visible in the middle where her body was concealed.
Evidently, Irina's Disillusionment Charm had failed.
"Don't laugh!" Irina said indignantly, canceling her Disillusionment Charm.
Her cheeks puffed out, making her look adorable, which only served to increase Lynn's laughter.
