Chapter 18: Exposition,1.
Mr Guan's P.O.V
Claire was so pissed when she found out, my lawyer was out of town.
"Can't we get another lawyer?"
"It doesn't work like that. I need his signature for approval" I said trying to convince her.
"We don't have much time," she said urgently.
"If any of our sons find out, it would complicate things for us," she added with a sigh.
"And I promise, this isn't going to get out," I said.
"It's my mess, so let me fix it" I added in a reassuring tone.
She's right, if any of our are sons are you find out anything. It would be disastrous. But I won't let that happen.
I opened my drawer to take out the will.
"How could you keep such an important thing there!!"
Claire half yelled, shock written all over her face.
"Calm down, I just kept it here this morning," I said with a slight laugh. Which didn't make the conversation lighter.
"I'll be heading to my office," she said standing up.
"Don't let anything go wrong" she warned sternly. Closing the door behind her.
I was alone in the office now. I don't think, my office is safe for such sensitive documents. I would take it to my home office and keep it in my safe. It would be much more secure over there. I'm pretty sure of that.
So I took out my briefcase, placing the papers carefully inside it.
"It would be safe together with all the adoption papers." I thought to myself.
There wasn't much to do at the office. So I decided to head home.
Luca's P.O V
After standing for a few minutes, lost in my thoughts as everything seemed to be happening so fast.
Alan leaving for Spain, the kiss, the fact that my parents are hiding something, the license saga, Lin is still missing.
Nothing seemed to make sense.
My phone vibrated in my pocket and that's what brought me back to reality.
Unlocking my phone. It was a message from my lawyer, with an attachment.
I clicked it open, and it was the contact of my dad's lawyer.
"Thanks, Ray, I muttered, at least I could start from somewhere.
I entered my car, I would be heading back to the office.

My drive back to the office was a slow one. As I wasn't in any hurry to go back.
And whatever I'm looking for, would be in my dad's office. That I was sure of.
After parking my car, I headed straight for my office. I didn't have much to do. In fact since Lin's disappearance. There haven't been many activities going on in the household.
It seems my P. A was on his lunch break. Because his office was empty when I checked his office.
I walked into my welcoming, spacious, and comfortable office. Take off my suit, and place it on the ClcloakhangerI went to lie on my couch.
"A few minutes' nap, wouldn't hurt" I muttered to myself as I closed my eyes.

A loud noise woke me up. I quickly glanced at my watch. I had just slept for twenty minutes.
It sounds like there was a commotion outside...
