Chapter 57: Watch The Dominoes Fall

Grimm had been in captivity for almost the entire time they had been in Haven's Fall. When trying not to draw attention, it was best to leave the oversized house cat out of the equation. But now that wasn't the case anymore.

And Grimm had plenty of pent up energy to spare.

"Grant me God's Speed!" Conner uttered his invocation. 

Victor remained with his hands up to continue to suffocate Kai since Conner was going to use his speed to fend off the beast. Or....so he thought. 

Conner quickly ran out of the way of the lynx's mighty paws as it descended down upon Victor.

"Conner?!" Victor said with wide eyes.

"...sorry. We only have one life left, y'know?" Conner said. In the haste of getting out of the danger zone, his hood had slipped off revealing a shock of orange hair and a baby face accented by his bright blue eyes. 

Victor tried to drop his hands to turn toward the new threat, but he was far too slow for the likes of Grimm.
