Sitting next to James at the chair in Vivian's place, Vivian held his hand as if to comfort him.

James was surprised and a mix of emotions showed on his face, a blend of happiness and bewilderment.

After a moment of silence, James spoke up. "I found my Layla, Vivian." His words were filled with emotion.

Vivian simply nodded, her expression almost blank, unsure of how to respond.

James continued, "I still can't understand how she ended up with the Grants."

He paused before adding, "Yesterday when I was hiding behind the curtain, I overheard Grant apologizing to Brenda."

"Henry mentioned something about Brenda's parents' death being connected to Henry," he said. "And it seems like he brought Layla home out of guilt."

Vivian listened attentively as James shared his thoughts.
