"Okay, Violet, come at me," Ezra said with a smile.
Violet didn't say anything; she just took out her new shadow sword and charged at Ezra, using a simple rank-one spell to boost her speed.
When she was within striking range, she slashed at his head. Ezra bent backward and then used his scythe to parry her attack.
He jumped back a few steps and then dashed at her again. He came down slashing from the top. Violet blocked the attack and tried to counter, but Ezra was a step faster and went behind her.
But that was Violet's plan. She created that slight opening, and as Ezra tried to slash her, she ducked at the exact moment and then stabbed her sword towards him.
Ezra's shadow sense picked up on the attack. He quickly stepped back, and the sword missed by an inch.
This was a battle of perception and a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree sense.
"I am a martial master now. I doubt you can defeat me without magic," Ezra said.
