Chapter 81: The darkness, and the source

Ezra got pissed off at the fact that these statues were making him bow forcefully; he gritted his teeth in anger and began pushing himself up, but the pressure was too much, his body slammed back into the ground.

"Arghh." He let out a pained groan; he attempted again, but the same result.

"Riot, Blood, take one statue each," Ezra ordered while he struggled.

Void and Riot moved; their bodies blurred and they appeared to beat the statues with their swords ready to slash and destroy.

The statues saw the potential threats and made a move against them; they shifted their pressure to the two summons, and that shift allowed a small break in the pressure facing Ezra.

He immediately used shadow steps and ran out of range in a split second, but he wasn't satisfied; he wanted to destroy these statues no matter the cost.
